Sharon Osbourne thinks Honey G has kept her place on ‘The X Factor’ because she makes people happy.
The 35-year-old rap artist – real name Anna Georgette Gilford – has divided the viewing public of the talent competition, but so far she has managed to avoid falling into the dreading sing-off, which her mentor thinks is because she acts as an "upper for everyone".
Sharon, 64, told The Sun newspaper: "She is an upper for everyone. Love her or hate her people still want to see what she’s going to do next week.
"This is a singing contest but it’s also there for entertainment."
And the judge – who now has only Honey G and Saara Aalto left in her category after Relley C was voted off the show last week – can’t wait to get her hands on her acts for next week’s fright night special.
She added: "I can be pretty wicked. No idea what I’ll do with Honey yet. I wonder if they’re allowed to dress up."
The competition isn’t easy for the television host – who is married to rocker Ozzy Osbourne – as she finds it difficult to let go of her acts.
She said: "It doesn’t get any easier. You get attached and I remembered Relley from three years ago and when she turned up at the auditions.
"A lot of people come on the show and when they come off they’re a bit of a pain but this one’s a keeper."
‘The Talk’ host has also previously admitted that her heavy workload takes a lot out of her, as she’s constantly flying between Los Angeles and London to film her projects.
She said: "It’s great to be back but it’s always, you know, you dread the Sundays.
"You forget, because the Saturday is always triumphant and then you go, ‘Oh s**t, it’s Sunday and I hate Sundays.’
"You have to stand up there and you get the old lump starting in your throat."
‘The X Factor’ returns on Saturday (29.10.16) on ITV at 8pm, where the acts will take on songs with a ‘fright night’ theme.
