Seann Walsh’s ex Rebecca Humphries admits she’ll seek a therapist to help her with "trust" issues.
The 33-year-old comedian caused a stir when he was caught locking lips with his ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ partner Katya Jones – who is married to fellow professional Neil Jones – in October, but now his ex-partner Rebecca has revealed she wants to "find a way" to get through her heartbreak so she can date again.
Speaking to the Daily Star newspaper, Rebecca said: "I am getting on with things but when it comes to dating, it will be tricky to trust anyone again.
"Still, if it takes seeing a therapist to help me learn how to, I’ll do it. I’d rather find a way through this.
"Seann and I haven’t stayed in touch. We won’t be in contact again."
Seann previously apologised for his "mistake" when he and Katya appeared on BBC Two’s ‘Strictly – It Takes Two’ spin-off earlier this year.
He said: "I made a mistake, which I’m very sorry for – sorry for the hurt that I’ve caused.
"You never think about the extent of the damage that you’re going to do, in a moment of, you know the mistake that you’ve made.
"I’m not perfect, far from it. Our relationship wasn’t perfect. That doesn’t mean I wanted it to end the way it finally did, and I’m very sorry for that.
"I feel it’s also important for me to say that the people that know me the most, that love me, they know that I am not the person I’m being portrayed as. I’m still sorry for what I did, but it’s very important for me to get that out there."
His apology was issued days after Rebecca broke her silence on the matter and claimed the comic had branded her a "psycho" for suggesting "something inappropriate was going on" between him and Katya.
She wrote: "Those pictures were taken on October 3rd. It was my birthday. I was alone at home when Sean texted at 10pm saying the two of them were going for one innocent drink. We spoke and I told him, not for the first time, that his actions over the past three weeks had led me to believe something inappropriate was going on. He aggressively, and repeatedly called me a psycho / nuts / mental. As he has done countless times throughout our relationship when I’ve questioned his inappropriate, hurtful behaviour. (sic)"
