Sean Lennon drops song he wrote with Carrie Fisher

Sean Lennon has released a song he wrote with Carrie Fisher "years ago."
The 41-year-old singer-songwriter dropped a demo titled ‘Bird Song’ on SoundCloud over the weekend after he penned the lyrics with the legendary actress – who passed away in December at the age of 60 from a cardiac arrest – a while back.
Alongside the lyrics Sean said in a statement: "Carrie and I wrote this song years ago. When she died I just felt I had to record it.
"The ‘Bird Song’ release was only a demo unmixed, we only had a few hours to record it. But the lyrics she wrote with me I think are marvelous. Carrie and I used to stay up til dawn chatting and pontificating about life. They were my best moments. Anyway… we wrote a song about staying up too late and hearing the birds sing."
Sean – who is the son of the late John Lennon – enlisted the help of Will Smith’s 14-year-old daughter Willow to record the vocals as she has a voice of an "angel."
He explained his choice of vocalist: "Willow Smith is a prodigal angel and was generous enough to lend her golden voice to this little tune."
This isn’t the first time Willow has tried her hand at music, as the talented teenager managed to worm her way into the charts in 2010 when she released ‘Whip My Hair’.
Carrie passed away on December 27 following four days on a ventilator in intensive care after she stopped breathing while on board a flight from London to Los Angeles.
The following day while she was planning her daughter’s funeral with her son Todd, Carrie’s mother Debbie Reynolds suffered a stroke and subsequently died in hospital.
The pair were later laid to rest together in a joint private ceremony in Los Angeles.
