Scott Disick wants to prove to Kourtney Kardashian he "can hold it together".
The 33-year-old businessman – who split from the reality TV star in July 2015 following rows over his drinking, partying and womanising – recently joined the Kardashian family on a holiday to Cuba and he admitted he was on his best behaviour so he could impress his former love.
The trip was filmed for their TV show ‘Keeping Up with the Kardashians’, and Scott told the camera: "One of the biggest issues between Kourtney and I is me drinking. I get overly emotional when I drink and I just want her to see that I can keep it together."
And his plan seemed to work as Kourtney, 37, was very impressed by Scott.
Speaking to sister Kim Kardashian West, she revealed: "I’m really glad he came, he’s been so good. He has been fine. I’m glad that he could be here.
"It was a great decision to have Scott on the trip and it’s great for him to know that he’s always going to be a part of the family."
The couple had a turbulent relationship for nine years and have three children together, Mason, six, Penelope, three, and Reign, 18 months.
Although it is unlikely they will get back together, Kourtney’s family are pleased Scott is still close to them.
Sister Khloe said how happy she was Scott had joined them in Cuba because Kourtney was relaxing more as she could see he has started taking more responsibility for his actions.
She said: "I know Kourt had a ton of anxiety in regards to Scott coming on this trip (to Cuba), which I totally understand. But the more that we’re on this trip and Scott is really proving himself I could just see that her guards are getting left down and Kourtney’s now having more fun and I can see those nerves are completely leaving her."
