Scott Disick and Sofia Richie are "taking things slow" as they work towards rekindling their romance.
The 37-year-old TV star and Sofia, 21 – who decided to take a break back in May – have been spending time together this month, and are seemingly open to the idea of getting back together at some stage.
A source told People that the high-profile duo are "trying to make things work while taking things slow".
In recent weeks, it’s been widely speculated that Scott – who has Mason, 10, Penelope, eight, and Reign, five, with his ex-girlfriend Kourtney Kardashian – and Sofia are on the cusp of officially getting back together.
But after the pair spent Independence Day together in Malibu, a source insisted that their dynamic remains "more friendly than romantic" for the time being.
Meanwhile, a separate source recently claimed that Scott and Sofia are "slowly" easing back into a relationship.
The celebrity duo are playing things "day by day" at the moment, according to an insider.
The source explained: "Scott and Sofia never lost touch while spending time apart, but have been seeing each other more often recently.
"They have hung out a handful of times in the last couple of weeks and are slowly easing back into a relationship. It feels totally back to normal from how things were before Scott went to rehab, but they’ve decided they don’t want to put pressure on the status of the relationship.
"Sofia is still hesitant about getting back together, but she enjoys Scott’s presence and does love him. It is up in the air and they are playing it day by day. Scott has been more persistent this time around and missed having Sofia in his life."
