Scarlett Moffatt’s father felt he’d been made "redundant" when his daughter turned to Larry Lamb for comfort.
The 26-year-old star – who won this year’s ‘I’m A Celebrity … Get Me Out Of Here!’ – sought comfort from the former ‘EastEnders’ star during this season’s programme, much to the upset of her own parent Mark who feared he had been replaced by the actor.
Speaking about his reaction to Larry as the temporary paternal figure in the jungle, the ‘Gogglebox’ star said on the spin off show ‘I’m A Celebrity … Get Me Out Of Here! – Coming Out’: "When she sat on his knee and give her a cuddle, I thought ‘He’s making me redundant here.’"
And the brunette beauty has revealed she was nervous her experience on the jungle-based reality show because the feeling of being an "outsider" brought back unsettling feelings from her school days.
Speaking previously, she said: "That was the big thing for me going in there, I felt like an outsider as all I do is watch the telly for a living.
"I was with people like Larry Lamb, Carol Vorderman. I was worried how these people were going to take me."
However, Scarlett struck up a great rapport with all the competitors in this series, which she felt was "just amazing".
She continued: "It was just so nice to be accepted for who I am. It was just amazing."
Meanwhile, the Queen of the Jungle has revealed she has gained a new outlook on life since being crowned champion, and has set her sights on starting a family with boyfriend Luke Crodden – who she started dating in February – at some stage.
She said: "I cannot wait to see Luke. He’s just my best friend. I’ve never met anyone who makes me laugh as much, he’s genuine.
"I’ve never really looked into the future when I’ve been with past boyfriends, but with him I can imagine having a family.
"But not for a very long time! I’ve just turned 26, I’ve got a few years left but it’ll definitely be with Luke."
