Scarlett Moffatt has quit ‘Gogglebox’.
The 25-year-old star will not feature in the remainder of the show’s current series after signing up to Australian jungle-based programme ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!’, and it’s not known whether or not she will return.
A Channel 4 spokesperson told RadioTimes.com: "Scarlett Moffatt is going in to ‘I’m a Celebrity’ and will no longer participate in this series of ‘Gogglebox’.
"The show’s producers have not had any conversations with Scarlett about leaving or returning to ‘Gogglebox’ after her stint in the Jungle."
With Scarlett out of the country she is unable to continue on the show, but it’s not known if her family will also sit out the rest of the series.
The spokesperson added: "The Moffatts have been excellent contributors to ‘Gogglebox’, and we are very grateful for all they have given to the show."
It’s not the first time ‘Gogglebox’ stars have worked on other projects before returning to the show, meaning the Moffatts could also be back at a later date.
The Gilbey family were away from the show for three series after George Gilbey appeared on ‘Celebrity Big Brother’, and the Michaels family didn’t appear on one series after patriarch Andrew ran as an MP for UKIP in 2015.
Scarlett will be joined Down Under by the likes of former ‘EastEnders’ actor Larry Lamb, ex-‘Strictly Come Dancing’ professional dancer Ola Jordan and mathematician Carol Vorderman.
Emmerdale’s Adam Thomas, ‘Homes Under the Hammer’ presenter Martin Roberts, radio presenter Danny Baker and hockey star Sam Quek are among the other stars who will compete to be crowned king or queen of the jungle.
