Scarlett Moffatt still sends messages to Caroline Flack, two months after her death.
The 30-year-old reality star regularly sends love hearts to the late ‘Love Island’ host on Instagram to remember her, after she took her own life aged 40 in February.
Speaking to Kate Thornton on the ‘White Wine Question Time’ podcast, she explained: "I still message Caroline on her Instagram. I still message her love hearts.
"She is still in my thoughts. And also anger for what happened. Words do hurt. I am not 100 per cent like it doesn’t bother me."
Caroline – who took her own life shortly after finding out the Crown Prosecution Service would be pursuing a case of assault against her, following a row with her boyfriend Lewis Burton at her home in December – faced numerous online trolls throughout her career, who targeted her relationships.
And Scarlett has also been slammed with nasty comments and abuse by trolls for her nose, and she ended up calling the Samaritans for help.
She said: "I was getting loads of stick for my nose – this is the nose I was born with.
"I’d give a fake name and I’d chat for 15 minutes. It really, really did help."
Now, the former ‘Gogglebox’ star replies to trolls with a number to the charity, because she believes such people sending her abuse may need help.
She explained: "I think, ‘God, how must they be feeling to have so much hatred towards someone they have never met?’ "
