Sarah Jessica Parker claims she was fired from two animated movies.
The ‘Sex and the City’ actress was let go from both 1998 movie ‘Antz’ and 2004’s ‘Home on the Range’, despite having done "many sessions" of voice recordings for both projects before being let go.
She admitted: "I was fired from ‘Antz’, that animated movie. And I was fired from ‘Home on the Range’, that other animated movie. Apparently I was a bad ant.
"I can’t remember which movie fired me first. The first time they were like, ‘we’re going in a different direction,’ which I always heard as a joke and that one was a cow."
And the 51-year-old star found her sacking from ‘Antz’ particularly hard to take as film bosses – who replaced her with Sharon Stone – had only called to praise her efforts the week before.
She told Sirius XM DJ Howard Stern: "I had my own [voice] and then they brought in Sharon Stone so I was like oh you really did go in a different direction.
"What was upsetting was they even called me like the week before they fired me. They called to tell me how great I was, which I felt was like a set up but I think they meant it at that time."
Sarah – who has children James, 13, and twins Tabitha and Loretta, seven, with husband Matthew Broderick – also found the timing of her dismissal extremely unfortunate.
She said: "When I found out about ‘Antz’, I was walking around with Matthew and we were looking for an apartment to buy and then I got a call and they’re like ‘Hey listen’ and I was like I can’t believe I’m about to purchase a home.’ "
