Sarah Jessica Parker ‘hurt’ by Sex and the City feud

Sarah Jessica Parker was "deeply" hurt by the fallout that came after the cancellation of ‘Sex and the City 3’.
The 52-year-old actress was known for her role as Carrie Bradshaw in the US television show and subsequent two movies, and was the centre of a feud with her co-star Kim Cattrall last year after it was claimed Kim’s "diva demands" were the cause of the third movie’s cancellation.
And now, Sarah Jessica has admitted she found the feud – which reportedly started when Kim believed Sarah was the centre of attention on set of the second movie – "enormously painful".
Speaking to The Daily Beast she said: "I’m stunned by how deeply it still cuts. What happened, that was enormously painful for me."
It comes after it was claimed in October that frayed relations between Sarah Jessica and Kim – who played Samantha Jones – during the filming of the second movie made it impossible to push forward with the third instalment.
A source said: "Kim felt Sarah thought she was more important than the others. By the time filming was wrapped, Kim was telling her team she would never do another film with Sarah. She couldn’t take the negativity between them."
That wasn’t the first time Kim had rowed with her co-star either, as late last year she also slammed Sarah Jessica for saying she was "disappointed" in the movie’s cancellation, as Kim believes she "could have been nicer" and stuck up for her.
Sarah Jessica had said previously: "It’s over … we’re not doing it. I’m disappointed. We had this beautiful, funny, heartbreaking, joyful, very relatable script and story. It’s not just disappointing that we don’t get to tell the story and have that experience, but more so for that audience that has been so vocal in wanting another movie."
And days later, 61-year-old Kim fired back in a separate interview: "And now, now at this very moment it’s quite extraordinary to get any kind of negative press about something that I’ve been saying for almost a year of ‘no’ that I’m demanding or a diva.
"And this is really where I take to task the people from ‘Sex And The City’ and specifically Sarah Jessica Parker in that I think she could have been nicer. I really think she could have been nicer."
