Sarah Jayne Dunn’s gym help

Sarah Jayne Dunn hit the gym to get her confidence back after a tough six months following the birth of her son.
The ‘Hollyoaks’ actress – who portrays Mandy Morgan in the Channel 4 soap – welcomed her first child, Stanley, into the world in August 2016 and admits she "didn’t feel like I was me anymore" immediately afterwards, but she got back to her old self by running and lifting weights.
She said: "You are just mum and then you kind of find your way back again. I just wanted to prove to myself more than anything that I could get back to being really fit."
Sarah – who married personal trainer Jon Smith earlier this year – has dropped "a couple of dress sizes" since hitting the gym hard and is pleased she doesn’t feel fatigued when she runs nowadays.
She added to The Sun’s Bizarre TV column: "I’ve lost body fat and dropped a couple of dress sizes.
"I just wanted to be fit and strong and then energetic and be able to go for a run and not feel knackered."
Following the couple’s big day, Sarah – who returned to the Channel 4 soap in July 2017 – admitted she was focusing on the "great storylines" coming up on ‘Hollyoaks’, rather than planning to have more kids.
Speaking in July, she said: "Neither of us are ready yet. We both want another one if that allows, but post-wedding we’re just focusing on getting our lives back into order, and I’ve got some great storylines coming up on ‘Hollyoaks’."
Sarah’s latest storyline has seen her alter-ego Mandy cheat on her husband Luke Morgan (Gary Lucy) with her best friend Nancy Osborne’s (Jessica Fox) husband Darren Osborne (Ashley Taylor Dawson), and Jessica recently admitted her alter-ego will be out for revenge.
She said: "There is most definitely payback. Her initial reaction is to figure out the worst things she can do to Darren and rip his life apart.
"Nancy actually turns to Sienna Blake of all people for advice and lessons on revenge!
"However, Nancy isn’t a bad person and is not violent at her core, so her conscience might get the better of her."
