Sarah Jayne Dunn is "absolutely thrilled" to be able to have a break from hair and beauty treatments.
The ‘Hollyoaks’ actress is staying at home with her husband Jonathan Smith and their three-year-old son Stanley amid the coronavirus pandemic, but one positive she has about social distancing is that she can have "a rest" from her usual health and beauty regime.
Quizzed on how she feels about not being able to get hair and beauty treatments at the moment, she said: "I’m absolutely thrilled to have a break from all of that.
"I’ve not worn a scrap of make-up since Friday.
"It’s nice to give my routine a bit of a rest, so I’m looking forward to letting my nails grow, giving my skin a breather and living in tracksuits."
The 38-year-old star – who plays Mandy Morgan on the Channel 4 soap – has been working out a lot at home to keep up her exercise, and she is confident her mental health will not be affected by missing out on the gym, because she is planning daily yoga sessions.
When asked if her mental health could be affected by not being able to go to the gym, she replied: "No, because I’ve recently started taking time out to journal and meditate, and that’s really helpful.
"I’ve also given myself a goal of doing yoga every day."
While some are predicting there could be a baby boom in around nine months as a result of this coronavirus lockdown, Sarah admitted now is not that right time for her and husband Jonathan to add to their brood.
She added to new! magazine: "I’m more of a practical thinker, so with the uncertainty, for me, it’s not the time to be getting pregnant.
"We do want another baby, but we just don’t know when.
"We’re going to wait until Stan goes to school, so we’ll see."
Like all of the UK soaps, ‘Hollyoaks’ have paused filming amid the pandemic.
