Sarah Hyland says her relationship with Wells Adams is "special".
The ‘Modern Family’ actress recently went public with the ‘Bachelorette’ alum, and has said in a message to her fans that she’d like to keep most of her romance out of the spotlight, as she thinks it is a "mistake" to "talk way too much" about her private life.
Writing in a lengthy note posted to Twitter on Tuesday (14.11.17), Sarah said: "The only things I share about my like with you all is through Instagram and Twitter. I do want my privacy. Especially in my relationships. I’ve made the mistake in the past on being way too open and talking way too much about them. This time is different. It’s special. (sic)"
But the 26-year-old actress insists she will still share the details she thinks are "appropriate", because she wants to keep her "wonderful" fans "updated".
She continued: "And I will share what I seem "appropriate" on social media because I still want you all to be updated. Because you guys are the greatest fans in the world. I even hate saying fans… because you’re people. You’re people who have chronic illnesses, eating disorders, troubles family situations that modern family helps you get through. People who share their stories with me and I love you all for that. So thank you for always been so wonderful. (sic)"
Sarah went on to add that only specific details of her romance will be shared on her social media accounts, although she hasn’t completely ruled out opening up about the 33-year-old hunk in the future.
She wrote: "However… this relationship’s tea will only be spilled on social media… for now. Cause never say never and I don’t want to be reminded in the future that I’m a "hypocrite". Ok. Gotta get ready for work. I LOVE YOU ALL! (sic)"
Sarah appeared to confirm her romance with Wells earlier this month when she shared a black and white picture of the pair in which she is cuddling up to him, while sticking her tongue out for the camera.
She wrote: "He puts up with me."
Whilst alongside the same picture on his own account, Wells added: "Back lit AF (sic)"
