Sarah Harding was turned down by Strictly Come Dancing

Sarah Harding was reportedly turned down by ‘Strictly Come Dancing’.
The former Girls Aloud singer had auditioned for this year’s series of the ballroom and latin show because she was keen to follow in the footsteps of her former band mate Kimberley Walsh – who took part in the programme in 2012 – but bosses weren’t impressed by her and opted to recruit The Saturdays’ Mollie King instead.
A source told The Sun Online: "Sarah auditioned for this year’s series of ‘Strictly…’ but she wasn’t liked by bosses. Her ultimate ambition was to star on the show and be like her ex-band mate Kimberley, who had a great time on the programme. It was between her and Mollie from The Saturdays but Sarah lost out."
But because she was snubbed by the BBC One show, Sarah decided to try out for ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ and she’s no doubt pleased she did as she went on to win Channel 5’s summer series last weekend following a series of mental breakdowns.
The insider added: "She’s had the last laugh now after winning ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ – though learning how to dance professionally was always her dream."
Not only did she win the show but the 35-year-old star also managed to find love in the famous abode as she struck up a romance with fellow competitor Chad Johnson.
Despite gushing about one another, Sarah’s estranged father John – who she hasn’t spoken to for 17 years – thinks the ‘Bachelor’ star is bad news and will hurt her.
He said: "[Chad] acted as if he’s Sir Lancelot but he’s only thinking about himself, not her happiness. He’ll use her and then dump her, leaving her once again to pick up the pieces … Sarah has publicly shown that she is still confused and emotionally suffering after living for years in a bubble in the aftermath of fame.
"Chad isn’t what she needs in her life right now. Sadly but inevitably she’ll soon discover that he isn’t her Mr Right. He is typically brash and she knows nothing about him. He’s given nothing away about himself. He entered the house boasting only of his looks, so what does Sarah or anyone else really know about him?"
