Sarah Ferguson ‘wouldn’t change’ past

Sarah Ferguson "wouldn’t change anything" about her past.
The Duchess of York might have made headlines when she divorced her husband Prince Andrew – with whom she has daughters Princess Beatrice, 29, and Princess Eugenie, 27 – in 1996, but she has insisted she doesn’t regret her past, and wouldn’t do anything differently if given the chance.
She said: "If I could turn back time, I still wouldn’t change anything."
And although the pair are no longer married, the 57-year-old writer claims she is still "good friends" with her former partner Prince Andrew.
She added: "We’re good friends and communicate very well – a prerequisite for the children to feel good."
Sarah’s reluctance to change her past comes as she admits her two daughters are "evidence of good parenting", and is "proud" of the women they’ve become.
Speaking to Swedish journal ‘Svenskdam’ while visiting Sweden as patron of the Perfect World Foundation, she said: "I am very proud of my beautiful girls and we have a good relationship. They’re evidence of good parenting, I’d say. Being a good mother is listening to your own heart, standing firm in what you believe in and providing security."
Meanwhile, Sarah previously praised her "incredible, humble" daughters for joining her in becoming patrons of the Teenage Cancer Trust.
She said: "The Duke and I couldn’t be more proud of this moment.
"Their actions show their commitment and dedication to their grandmother and their country.
"It’s so great to see them shining and I’m very, very proud.
"I think they’re the most humble people I know in my life and the Duke and I are lucky as parents to have these incredible, humble children."
