Sandra Bullock has been warned not to marry Bryan Randall.
The 51-year-old actress has been dating the 50-year-old photographer – who reportedly went to rehab for drug issues in the early 1990s – for the past 18 months and although they are blissfully happy, Sandra’s former teacher insists her late mother would not approve.
Geraldine Filpi, 81, told the National Enquirer: "I don’t think she should marry Bryan. If her mother was still alive, there’s no way Sandra should marry him.
"Sandra just has poor judgement in men and seems to keep making really bad choices. You know, she’s a great actress, but she’s already so successful and has a wonderful family now. So why bother taking risks? I pray for her. I pray she steers away from the bad men."
Sandra’s mother Helga Mathilde Meyer died in 2000 at the age of 58, after battling colon cancer.
The actress was previously married to Jesse James but they split after he cheated on her with a number of women.
It was recently revealed that the ‘Miss Congeniality’ star’s relationship with Bryan is going from strength to strength and they are at the stage where they see themselves "spending their lives together".
A source said: "They are still very much in love. Sandra and Bryan see spending their lives together but haven’t spoken about marriage to anyone yet. They are the kind of people that would do a small wedding, if anything, or without anyone knowing if they decide to get married."
Bryan recently moved in with Sandra and treats her two children – Louis, six, and Laila, four – as if they were his own.
The insider added: "Bryan has officially moved in with Sandra. He still has his home as well, but lives with Sandra full time. They have been spending most of their time together. Bryan treats Sandra’s children like his own. He really is a great father figure. Sandra is the happiest she has ever been."
