Samuel L. Jackson saw daily rainbows whilst filming Kong: Skull Island in Hawaii

Samuel L. Jackson loved seeing a rainbow every day whilst filming ‘Kong: Skull Island’ in Hawaii.
The 68-year-old actor, who stars in the sci-fi film alongside Brie Larson and Tom Hiddleston, jetted off to Vietnam, Hawaii and Australia to film the spectacular scenes, but having a mixture of film locations meant they experienced extreme weather from scorching temperatures to freezing hailstone.
Speaking to Christine Lampard on ITV’s ‘Lorraine’ show, L. Jackson said: "Some scenes you’d look at it and go, ‘ah that was a beautiful place’ and then some scenes you’d go, ‘oh it was so miserable that day’."
Larson explained: "Over the course of six months we dealt with every type of weather – so there’s like one scene every time I look at , I’m like, ‘That was 120 degrees’ I remember we were all dying and other scenes I remember it hailing and being freezing cold but it all looks the same scene."
But shooting in Hawaii made up for the horrid weather they’d experienced in other locations. L. Jackson added: "But every day in Hawaii we had rainbow which was fine."
Speaking about being in London, L Jackson said he "loves" visiting the city.
He said: "It’s been interesting. Usually I have to come here to get my dose of rain but it’s been raining in LA like really for a long time – at least twice a week – so I’m getting used to rain again. Usually I come here and I’m like, ‘Oh my God, it’s cloudy, it’s rainy, it’s moody and atmospheric but I love being here. I did my last five of the seven movies before Kong here."
Meanwhile, Larson is starring in upcoming British action-comedy movie ‘Free Fire’ which is due out at the end of March and is directed by Ben Wheatley and stars like likes of Sam Riley and Cillian Murphy.
Larson explained: "It’s a film I did with Ben Wheatley, I’m really excited about which should be coming out soon. A very interesting film about a bunch of us being in the 70s as well – different, a little later in the 70s being trapped inside of this warehouse and it’s a gun deal that goes wrong and so we all have to all kind of fight to get out of it."
Larson, who shot a flare in ‘Kong: Skull Island’ actually gets to shoot guns in ‘Free Fire’.
She added: "I like mixing genres, mixing budgets…it keeps me on my toes."
‘Kong: Skull Island’ is released in cinemas on March 9 and ‘Free Fire’ hits cinemas on March 31.
