Samia Ghadie is reduced to tears when she thinks about leaving her baby for work.
The 33-year-old actress is gearing up to return to ‘Coronation Street’ in two months’ time but she has admitted she’s worried about leaving her six-month-old son Yves, whom she has with her fiance Sylvain Longchambon, with a childminder when she rushes off to set to film her scenes.
She explained: "It will be hard, as I’ve not left him at all. But we’ve found a lovely lady who will do some child-minding. She’ll work more round Sylvain’s hours as mine can be erratic."
Sylvain added: "She got a little upset the other night just thinking about it."
However, the blonde beauty is looking forward to reprising her role as busybody Maria Connor on the long-running soap after she left last year to have little Yves and she has teased her comeback storyline, which will see her alter-ego return from Cyprus, is set to be explosive.
She explained to Britain’s OK! magazine: "Maria will return with a secret that will shock her boyfriend Luke and all other residents on the street."
However, Samia – who also has daughter Freya, six, with her ex-husband Matt Smith – is concerned her acting may be a little rusty following her career break.
She said recently: "I am really looking forward to catching up with everyone at work, a part of me is a bit nervous though; I’ve not acted for six months. I’ll have to get back into the swing of things quickly."
