Samantha Womack was "manipulated" to pose naked for raunchy lads’ mags.
The 45-year-old actress has admitted she regrets getting her kit off for the sexy photo shoots, which made it into the likes of FHM, when she was younger because, on reflection, she didn’t really want to do it but did it because her management told her to.
Speaking in tonight’s (20.11.17) episode of ‘John Bishop: In Conversation With…’, Samantha said: "I really feel like who I am now and those kind of things interestingly, are exactly what my fight’s about now. I felt manipulated. I was manipulated.
"I was a young girl, I always had a team of people around me telling me how fabulous it was gonna be and whatever, and I didn’t have a voice of my own, because I hadn’t got the training. And also I’m a people pleaser. This is the worst person type of personality to have in this industry, when you don’t wanna upset people.
"I spent most of my time not wanting to say no because I didn’t want to let anyone down or be difficult or I didn’t want a reputation."
But the former ‘EastEnders’ star – who has children Benjamin, 16, and Lily, 12, with her husband Mark Womack – isn’t the only one who thought the shoots were "tacky."
She explained: "In hindsight, you look back and go, ‘Gosh’. Some of the ones that I hated were just cheap, you know, tacky, I really hated them.
"I’ve spoken to so many women that were successful at the same time as me, and they all feel the same way. Zoe Ball, exactly the same. We all felt the same."
