Sam Smith plans bog Christmas drink

Sam Smith is going to binge drink wine at Christmas after spending three months sober.
The ‘Too Good At Goodbyes’ hitmaker has confessed that he could "go off the rails 100 per cent" by overindulging on his favourite tipple over the festive period after not touching a drop of alcohol for weeks.
The 25-year-old pop star has opened about how the major break-up that inspired his latest record ‘The Thrill Of It All’, lead him to go out drinking most week nights, and admitted he hated the person he became whilst making his album.
Sam spent the majority of his time away from the spotlight – after the release of his 2014 debut LP ‘In The Lonely Hour’ – drowning his sorrows drinking and partying at gay nightclubs, and admits that lead to him having lots of flings.
He said: "I was out gay-clubbing three or four times a week, smoking and drinking too much, giving my heart away a bit too easily.
"It was fun – it was super-fun – but it wasn’t me.
"I didn’t feel like I was treating myself with a lot of respect at that time."
Speaking about how he lost all self-respect for himself, which inspired the painfully emotional song ‘Burning’, he told NME magazine: "I got to a point last year where I didn’t care anymore about myself. I was being completely reckless and not looking after my body and my mind and my heart and literally burning. I don’t know if I’m ever gonna be as personal again in music, because I really had to go to a weird place to get the music out."
The ‘Stay With Me’ singer recently started dating American actor Brandon Flynn, and says he’s "starting to feel a lot happier now".
