Sally Lindsay rejects I’m A Celebrity offers ‘most years’

Sally Lindsay has turned down offers from ‘I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here’ "most years".

The 46-year-old actress has been approached several times by ITV bosses to camp out in the Australian jungle, but she continues to say no as she refuses to take part in one particular Bushtucker Trial.

Speaking on the ‘Events That Made Me’ podcast, she admitted: "If one of the kids needed life-saving surgery, then maybe I would go. Not that I don’t think it’s brilliant. I love watching it!

"But I can’t even eat prawns because they look like insects. I could do all the other things, but it’s the eating I couldn’t do. They’d all be starving."

In May, ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!’ bosses reportedly held crisis talks to determine whether the show would be on amid the coronavirus pandemic.

ITV bosses were said to be exploring the possibility of employing a mainly Australian workforce if the series does get the green light.

A source said: "’I’m A Celebrity’ is six months away but bosses are holding meetings about how they can ensure it still goes ahead in the current climate.

"A raft of measures are being looked at.

"One of the most recent plans was to employ a crew that is 95 per cent made up of Australian workers to overcome the issues surrounding flying to different countries and the quarantine restrictions."

There have already been rumours of who could be entering the jungle later this year.

Former ‘The One Show’ presenter Matt Baker, ex-‘Strictly Come Dancing’ star AJ Pritchard, and Good Morning Britain’s Susanna Reid have all been named as potential campmates.

What’s more, ex-‘Coronation Street’ star Lucy Fallon – who played Bethany Platt – and Beverley Callard (Liz McDonald), have been rumoured to be taking part.
