Rylan Clark-Neal admits being distanced from his mum during the coronavirus lockdown was "gutting".
The 31-year-old presenter and his mum Linda – who suffers from Crohn’s disease – have only recently been reunited, after being kept apart at the height of the pandemic.
Rylan – who stars alongside Linda on ‘Celebrity Gogglebox’ – said: "She was on the vulnerable list.
"It was just like anyone else, it was a bit gutting that she couldn’t just pop round and that I couldn’t just pop around there. Thank God that now we can."
Rylan admitted it was "really nice" being reunited with his mum on ‘Celebrity Gogglebox’.
He told Daily Star Online: "It was really, really nice. Me and mum, we were part of the first series last year. Because of the pandemic, we had to wait a few weeks because the social support bubbles had to be introduced.
"When that came in she was round like a whippet, and the cameras were all set up. It was really really nice, it was one of those jobs where I sit back and do nothing and let them do the work."
However, Linda’s health situation means they can’t commit to another series of ‘Celebrity Gogglebox’ at the moment.
But Rylan remains open to appearing on the show again.
The TV star – who has become a successful presenter after finding fame on ‘The X Factor’ in 2012 – explained: "We sort of take each series as it comes. It depends on if the guys ask us back next year and we can do it and mum is up for it.
"If she’s well enough then absolutely, I think she really enjoys it. It’s a sort of day out each week."
