Rylan Clark-Neal and Alison Hammond to present This Morning permanently?

Rylan Clark-Neal and Alison Hammond could become permanent stand-in hosts on ‘This Morning’.
The ‘Big Brother’s Bit on the Side’ presenter will join forces with the 42-year-old television personality this Friday (17.02.17) when they front the brunchtime programme in place of Eamonn Holmes and Ruth Langsford – who are currently presenting during the week while regulars Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield are on holiday – and it looks like a permanent job role could be up for grabs afterwards.
A source told The Daily Mirror newspaper: "Alison and Rylan went down a storm with viewers when they hosted, albeit very briefly, last October. There is no danger of them usurping Phil and Holly – or Eamonn and Ruth – but bosses are looking at giving them one-off stints if Friday goes just as well."
However, bosses are adamant the potential signing won’t mean that Holly and Phillip and Eamonn and Ruth will be replaced, as Rylan and Alison will just step in when one or the other pair are away.
The funny duo went down a storm with viewers last October when they filled in for Holly and Phillip during the Halloween special and were heavily praised for their on-screen chemistry and natural ability.
A spokesperson for the programme after it was announced they would fill in later this week: "We have listened to fans views and are pairing them again. There is no question they spark off each other."
Alison has been a regular fixture on ‘This Morning’ since 2003 and has interviewed many high-flying celebrities during her time as a showbiz reporter.
Rylan, on the other hand, presents the showbiz segment on the programme every day and has even fronted the main show in the past with his husband Dan Neal – a move that made television history as they became the first gay couple to ever front the show.
