Ryan Thomas’ mum will never forgive Roxanne Pallett for accusing her son of punching her.
The former ‘Coronation Street’ star’s mother Sandra has been left "really distressed" watching the ex-‘Emmerdale’ actress accuse her son of hitting her in the ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ house, and hopes he can "feel good in his own state of mind" and "be normal again" when he departs the abode.
Sandra can no longer watch the show following the former ‘Emmerdale’ star’s claims, which she has now back-tracked on since departed the house, and admitted she made a "horrible mistake".
Ryan’s mum said: "She needs to apologise to Ryan personally. He needs to get his warning taken off him, and I feel like she’s getting a lot of air time and is still almost the only one who is speaking out.
"I don’t think I’ll ever forgive her. I just want Ryan to feel good in his own state of mind. That will help me forgive Roxy more, when he gets over it and he can be normal again.
"It’s how she apologises to him.
"I can’t watch him cry. It makes he really distressed, it really does. It hurts."
Roxanne told Big Brother than Ryan had punched her "like a boxer would punch a bag", which saw him receive an official warning, and Sandra believes show producers could have dealt with the situation differently.
She said: "I don’t think he could believe it himself. That’s when his morale started to go.
"I think it could’ve been dealt with a little bit easier than just her saying an accusation and him getting a formal warning, and that was it.
"I don’t know what the reason for that is [giving Ryan the official warning].
"Seeing it, it’s just upsetting.
"When she said to the Diary Room that she didn’t feel like she could sleep in the same room it was just like, ‘What on earth?’
"She had a little giggle saying, ‘I’m going to do your laundry and now I might shrink it.’ I never dreamt the response from Roxanne."
Sandra says Ryan was "looking forward" to taking part in the reality TV series, and is hoping the support of the nation "will help him" when he departs the house.
Speaking on ‘This Morning’, she added: "He went in there for a challenge. He was looking forward to it. He loves people. He loves being around, laughing and joking.
"He’s the godfather of the family. He’s always looked after us. And now because he’s in that situation we want to look after him, and we can’t do anything.
"The nation, when he comes out, will help him. Plus, his girlfriend [Lucy Mecklenburgh], who will smother him with kisses and hugs.
"But it’s what it’s done to him inside, how long he will it take for him to ever … [pick himself up]."
