Ryan Tedder and James Bay to collaborate

Ryan Tedder and James Bay are collaborating.
The OneRepublic frontman has revealed he’s heading into the studio with the ‘Hold Back The River’ hitmaker and the pair will kick of 2017 making new music together.
He told the new issue Fault magazine: "James Bay would be great to work with. Someone connected us and we plan on writing together at the beginning of 2017, around January. But yeah, James is my favourite newcomer."
The British singer/songwriter caught the eye of the ‘Catching Stars’ hitmaker after he stormed onto the world music stage last year releasing a string of hit songs from his debut album ‘Chaos and the Calm’ and wowing the likes of Kanye West, Sir Paul McCartney and The Rolling Stones.
And Ryan believes they’ll get on well in the studio because he isn’t just chasing a hit single and is keen to work with people that "move" him.
Ryan added: "You’ve got limited time in a day and you have to choose the ones that move you the most. You can’t just chase the ones that you think you’re going to have a hit with. You go for the ones that you know you’ll bring out the best in them and they’ll bring out the best in you.’
The singer also teamed up with Stevie Wonder recently on a movie soundtrack and wishes he’d captured the session on film because he couldn’t believe he was working with the music icon.
He said: "’I did a song for a movie with [Stevie Wonder] a couple of weeks ago. He and I were sitting in a room, going back and forth over lyrics and I had a moment where I was sat there and I wished there was a camera filming cause I was writing a song with Stevie Wonder."
OneRepublic’s new album ‘Oh My My’ is released on October 7, the follow-up to 2013’s ‘Native’, and is available to pre order now.
Their new single ‘Kids’ is out now.
