‘Emmerdale’ Ryan Hawley found it "challenging" filming parts of the Robron wedding.
The 32-year-old star admitted that while it was "fun" shooting his character Robert Sugden’s nuptials with Danny Miller’s alter-ego Aaron Dingle, it was a tough shoot at times when the characters were celebrating tying the knot in the Woolpack pub.
Speaking at the TV Choice Awards at London’s Dorchester Hotel on Monday night (10.09.18), Ryan exclusively told BANG Showbiz: "It was a lot of fun filming the wedding. Those scenes involved a lot of people in the Woolpack, so there are moments that it can be challenging.
"But there are a lot of times when we can all have fun and enjoy the day in what is essentially a pub that serves alcohol.
"It can be a lot of fun to celebrate."
Ned Porteous – who scooped the Best Soap Newcomer accolade at the ceremony for his portrayal of Joe Tate – added: "The Woolpack serves a lot more than alcohol,
But Ryan didn’t fancy tucking into Robron’s wedding food for real – because he wasn’t sure how long it had been there.
He added: "We don’t usually eat the food, because we there are sandwiches and chips and everything." don’t know how long it’s been out."
While Ryan remained tight-lipped on the details of the wedding, he has confirmed there will be a stag do, but wouldn’t reveal whether Robert and Aaron will have a joint bash or not.
He said: "We’ve filmed the stag do. It’s quite confusing knowing what’s going on at the moment.
"I don’t know what I’m allowed to say with regards to that [whether they are having a joint stag]."
