‘Emmerdale’ star Ryan Hawley hasn’t found all the Robron fan attention "particularly useful".
The 33-year-old star’s character Robert Sugden and Danny Miller’s alter-ego Aaron Dingle have been dubbed Robron by super-fans of the ITV soap who regularly speculate about the characters’ next moves on social media sites and forums – but Ryan tries to just focus on working with his co-star.
He said: "All the attention is nice and lovely, and it’s a huge compliment that people are so interested in our characters.
"But it’s not something I’ve particularly found useful. I guess for us, we just enjoy working together, and that’s all I try to focus on."
Robron’s relationship is at the forefront of ‘Emmerdale’ fans’ minds at the moment with the pair set to tie the knot next week, and Danny has teased the soap’s supporters to expect a "happy ever after" for the characters.
He said: "I think people will be happy to have them married. Last time it was rushed, they just did it between themselves and it wasn’t official or a signed legal agreement.
"People can expect exactly what they want, which is a ‘happy ever after’.
"The fact that they’ve got such a good relationship, people have been interested to watch them, so everyone’s rooting for us."
And Ryan admits it is "certainly possible" that the happy couple – who had an unofficial wedding ceremony last year – will add to their family unit at some point.
When asked if little Robrons will be on the way in the future, he added to Inside Soap magazine: "It’s certainly possible, but right now they’ve got baby Seb to look after, so I don’t think it’ll be in the next couple of months."
Danny admitted in February that he hoped his Twitter followers would "stop having a go" at him after Robron reunited.
He said: "I’m expecting my Twitter feed to calm down and for everyone to stop having a go at me for not being with Robert.
"I think there will be lots of love hearts … it’s a nice episode and they can get back to where they were before. Aaron is trying to get past the whole Seb thing and, if anything, try to be there for Robert and the baby."
