Ruby Wax was thrown out of Trump’s private jet

Ruby Wax was thrown off Donald Trump’s private jet when she laughed at his dream of becoming president.
The 63-year-old comedian interviewed the 70-year-old tycoon – who began his stint as Commander-in-Chief earlier this year – in the 1990s for her TV show ‘Ruby Wax Meets’ but was left mortified when he ordered his plane be grounded and she was ejected after she didn’t give the reaction he’d hoped for to his ambition.
She recalled on Australian TV show ‘The Project: "He threw me off his plane.
"We were at 33,000 feet and he told me he wanted to be the next President of the United States and I laughed.
"He said, ‘Land the plane. I want her out of here’, so I’m now with my crew in Arkansas and we weren’t going to Arkansas."
Ruby previously described the exchange as "one of the most excruciating moments" of her career, but the interview never made it into her series.
Meanwhile, it was previously revealed the president had One Direction kicked out of one of his hotels after they declined his request to meet his daughter.
The group – comprising Liam Payne, Harry Styles, Niall Horan and Louis Tomlinson – had been asleep at Trump International Hotel and Tower in New York when the former ‘Apprentice’ star called their manager to make the request, and when he refused to wake the singers, he insisted they leave his establishment.
Liam said recently: "Trump actually kicked us out of his hotel once.
"You wouldn’t believe it. It was about [meeting] his daughter. He phoned up our manager and we were asleep.
"He said, ‘Well, wake them up,’ and I was like, ‘No,’ and then he wouldn’t let us use the underground garage.
"Obviously, in New York, we can’t really go outside. New York is ruthless for us.
"So he was like, ‘OK, then I don’t want you in my hotel.’ So we had to leave."
