Britain's Prince Charles and Duchess Camilla met Fearne Cotton and Tom Odell today (11.02.14).
The royal couple - who married in 2005 - paid a visit to BBC Radio 1 and 1Xtra this morning, where they were given a tour of the studio and introduced to the blonde DJ and the British singer-songwriter.
The pair stopped by Radio 1's Live Lounge and watched Tom - who has been nominated for a BRIT award this year - rehearsing for his performance, which took place earlier today on the show.
Tom said: "It was a really bizarre morning. He [Prince Charles] was really nice and interested in what we were doing. I performed a bit of 'Another Love' for him and he said, 'Give it some welly!'.
"He was really cool. It was nerve-wracking enough to come and do the famous Radio 1 Live Lounge and then meeting royalty. Amazing!"
The Prince and the Duchess also got to have a go at filming Tom on a PSR4 standard definition camera during his performance, and the footage is set to feature on the BBC website.
Fearne said: "An amazing morning! Something that doesn't happen every day and Camilla was great on the camera in the Live Lounge!"
Britain's Prince William has been branded a "thickwit" by singer Morrissey for going on a hunting trip.
The 31-year-old royal and his younger brother Harry, 29, went shooting in Spain this month before William and their father, Prince Charles, launched a campaign to end the illegal hunting of animals such as tigers, rhinos and elephants.
In an open letter to the Royal Family on Morrissey's fansite True To You, the star attacks William and Harry for going on the trip and accuses them of hypocrisy.
He writes: "One day prior to giving a public plea on behalf of animal welfare (!), Prince William is to be found in Spain (with Prince Harry) shooting and killing as many deer and boar as they possibly can! (sic)
"Although William's speech (no doubt written by his publicity aides at Clarence House) will concentrate on endangered species, William is too thickwit to realize that animals such as tigers and rhino are only driven to near extinction because people who are precisely like himself and his brother have shot them off the map - all in the name of sport and slaughter. Whenever you shoot an animal in the head the outcome is usually the same: death. (sic"
The 54-year-old singer is a committed vegetarian and has campaigned for animal rights for many years. He previously mocked the Royal Family in a song called 'The Queen Is Dead'.
He added: "The rationalists amongst us, who are never allowed to speak, are intelligent enough to realize that endangered species are dying out only because of people like William and Harry, and, for this we can only pray to God that their hunting guns backfire in their faces."
A man who admitted plotting to kill Britain's Prince Harry has been jailed for three years.
Convicted criminal Ashraf Islam, 31, disagreed with the work of the Armed Forces and planned to kill Prince Harry, who served 77 days on the front line in the Afghanistan war.
According to BBC News, Judge Richard McGregor-Johnson called the plot "vague and unlikely to succeed" at London's Isleworth Crown Court but said Islam presented a risk to the public.
The criminal, who had been living in west London but had no permanent address, was arrested on May 23 last year when he handed himself into police, just 24 hours after soldier Lee Rigby was murdered in Woolwich.
Islam, a convert to Islam formerly known as Mark David Townley, has previous convictions for dishonesty and for involvement in an attempted robbery.
He said he had the "moral right to judge" and planned to kill the 29-year-old royal because he served in the military and hand "blood on his hands".
Judge McGregor-Johnson said in court: "This was not a threat made in isolation.
"The examination of your computer revealed you conducted research on his (Prince Harry's) whereabouts and intentions. You had given the matter considerable thought."
Prince Harry also trained to be a Apache Helicopter with the Army Air Corps but is now taking up an army office job and will become a Staff Officer at HQ London District, which organises ceremonial events such as the Trooping of the Colour and state visits.
Britain's Prince Charles will make an official visit to Saudi Arabia later this month.
Clarence House has announced the royal's four-day trip to the Middle East begins next Monday (17.02.14) and comes less than a year since he last toured Saudi Arabia and Qatar.
Sir John Jenkins, the UK's ambassador to Saudi Arabia, said: "Our two kingdoms share a long friendship, going back to the foundation of the modern Saudi state. Continuity of personal relationships, essential if we are to understand each other better, have been central to this.
"His Royal Highness' second visit to the kingdom in my time here as ambassador exemplifies our wish to engage at the most senior levels and our determination to sustain the personal touch."
He continued: "At a time of enormous turmoil and human agony in the Middle East, seen today perhaps most acutely in Syria, the Prince's advocacy of interfaith understanding and dialogue between communities is needed more than ever.
"His Majesty the King shares this deep concern. I know that he and His Royal Highness will have much to discuss about the need for reconciliation and their hopes for the region's future."
Charles first toured the nation in 1986 and this year will mark his 10th official trip to the country.
Britain's Queen Elizabeth is making her royal residence in Scotland available for hire.
The monarch's Balmoral home could soon host live music concerts for thousands of fans as the 87-year-old royal plans to make more money from the estate.
According to the Daily Express newspaper, the website for Royal Deeside has been re-vamped and a new advert has been posted inviting people to enquire about hiring the land.
The advert reads: "Balmoral provides the perfect setting for your event, with wonderful scenery and the castle providing and magnificent backdrop.
"Whether you are planning a charity event, gala dinner, training course, team building exercise, car rally, conference or even a concert we can assist with your plans."
The news after the Commons Public Accounts Committee announced last month that the Queen is down to her last £1 million.
Rock concerts have not been ruled out but outdoor shows will only take place in the spring and summer months before the Royal Family's traditional stay at Balmoral every year.
Visitor enterprise manager, Gary Marsden, said: "We are open to suggestions suitable for the location.
"We are not planning to stage concerts ourselves, it would be up to others."
Balmoral has been a royal residence in the Scottish Highlands since 1852 and hosted an outdoor concert to mark the Queen's 80th birthday in 2006, which saw opera singer Katherine Jenkins take to the stage.
Large events such as Balmoral Road Races and BikeBalmoral have also been held at the estate.

Britain's Prince Harry has been spending a lot of time with girlfriend Cressida Bonas.
The flame-haired royal and his 24-year-old girlfriend were rumoured to be drifting apart after Harry spent a number of weeks abroad, including a charity trip to the South Pole, but now the couple are said to be stronger than ever.
According to the Sunday Express newspaper, Harry, 29, has also been "particularly thoughtful" during a difficult time for Cressida, when her former stepfather Christopher Shaw was found dead three weeks ago after a suspected drug overdose.
Mr Shaw was the fourth husband of her mother Lady Mary Gaye Curzon and was said to have been a "strong presence" in Cressida's childhood life.
The ex-banker, 76 - who was battling kidney disease and was given 18 months to live two years ago - was discovered by his housekeeper at his rented home in Salisbury, Wiltshire.
Harry and Cressida, who have been dating on/off for 20 months, were spotted grabbing a burger last month at London restaurant Byron in Kensington High Street, close to Kensington Palace, accompanied by bodyguards.
The pair spent more than an hour in the restaurant with two security men before getting into the prince's car outside, which was driven by a third man.
Britain's Princess Eugenie sat front row at a New York fashion show on Friday (07.02.14).
The 23-year-old royal attended the Nonoo Autumn/Winter 2014 show in Manhattan and was photographed wearing a navy blue shift dress and pointed black stiletto heels.
The redhead also wore bright pink lipstick for the fashion event by Misha Nonoo and placed her two-tone blue handbag at her feet.
Eugenie, who is Queen Elizabeth's granddaughter, recently started a £25,000 a year job at Paddle8, an online auction house in the city, having moved to Manhattan last year.
She had only planned to stay to complete a three-month placement but was offered a permanent role at Christmas after making a good impression at the art auction house, which is backed by Damien Hirst and specialises in contemporary artists including Jeff Koons and Banksy.
Sources say she is staying in a stylish apartment in the Meatpacking district and is "making the most" of her time there.
The younger daughter of the Duke and Duchess of York has been seen at a number of social events in recent weeks, including the amfAR's gala a New York's Cirpriani Wall Street, joining big names including Vanessa Redgrave, Karlie Kloss, Lily Aldridge, Kelly Rowland, Coco Rocha and Donna Karan.
Eugenie wore an emerald green dress for the star-studded event and showed her support for the Foundation of AIDS research.
