Prince Harry to host Michelle Obama

Britain's Prince Harry will meet with Michelle Obama today (16.06.15).
The 30-year-old prince previously had tea with the US First Lady two years ago after attending a Mother's Day even for military mothers with her in America and is "happy" to host President Barack Obama's wife - who is on a two-day visit to the UK with her mother Marian Robinson and daughters Malia, 16, and Sasha, 14 - and discuss their shared interests.
Michelle's chief of staff, Tina Tchen, said: "He was wonderful and it was wonderful to have him here. And we hear from his staff that he is happy to return the favour."
Michelle is spearheading the Joining Forces campaign, which aims to give past and current Armed Forces personnel "the tools they need to succeed throughout their lives", and she and Harry are looking forward to talking about "that shared interest that they have on military families".
As well as promoting the military campaign, Michelle will also use her UK visit
to highlight the Let Girls Learn initiative, which she and her husband have been championing, and will host an event at a London school to discuss boosting education globally for teenage girls.
She will also have tea with Prime Minister David Cameron and his wife Samantha.

Princess Madeleine gives birth

Sweden's Princess Madeleine has given birth to a baby boy.
The 33-year-old princess and her husband, financier Christopher O'Neill, welcomed their second child into the world yesterday (15.06.15) afternoon and both mother and baby are doing well.
An official statement read: "The Marshal of the Realm is delighted to announce that HRH Princess Madeleine gave birth to a son on June 15 at 1.45pm.
"Both mother and child are in good health."
It has not yet been confirmed what the little boy - a brother for 15-month-old Princess Leonore - will be named.
The new arrival will be raised in Chris' native UK as the family are preparing to move to London by the end of 2015.
The couple moved to Stockholm last year from New York, where they first met.
Madeleine - who spent four years living in America and has resided in the UK before- has previously spoken of how much she adores being married to Chris.
She has said: "The sweetest feeling now that we are married is that we really are a team. It really brings a special bond."
The new baby was born just two days after the Swedish royals welcomed another family member, following Prince Carl Philip's wedding to Sofia Hellqvist.

Prince William hires housekeeper

Britain's Prince William has hired Crown Prince Haakon's former housekeeper.
The 32-year-old prince and his wife, 33-year-old Duchess Catherine, spent months searching for someone to run their Anmer Hall household and have now given a job to Sadie Rice, who previously worked for the Norwegian prince, his wife Princess Mette-Marit and their three children.
The single employee, 33, is believed to have already moved into the Norfolk residence and her duties will include preparing and cooking meals, taking care of the couple's wardrobe and helping out the nanny who cares for Prince George, 22 months, and Princess Charlotte, six weeks.
The original advertisement for the job vacancy also mentioned duties would include "cleaning all areas of the house to a high standard; caring for and maintaining the home owners' clothing; cleaning silverware and glassware; purchasing groceries and general provisions for the house; and dealing with deliveries."
Sussex-born Sadie previously worked at Buckingham Palace as a maid.
A source told The Sun newspaper: "Everyone is glad to see Sadie back, she is very popular."
The Norwegian royals are said to be "sad" to lose their housekeeper.

Zara Phillips wants New Zealand to keep flag

Britain's Zara Phillips thinks it would be "sad" for New Zealand to change their flag.
The 34-year-old Olympian insists the current design - a navy background with red stars and the Union Jack in the top corner - is "great" and she hopes it doesn't change when a referendum on the standard takes place next year.
Zara - who is the daughter of Princess Anne and her first husband Captain Mark Phillips - told TVNZ: "You know when you look at the flag you know that it's Kiwi. It would be sad to change it I think.
"I guess it's great the way it is."
Zara has breached royal protocol by speaking about constitutional matters and her remarks have been slammed as "quite unsuitable".
Royal biographer Michael Thornton told the Daily Mail newspaper: "I find Zara's comments quite unsuitable.
"I know her mother, Princess Anne, and she does a splendid job of keeping her trap shut on important matters. I think that Zara could do with taking a leaf out of her book.
"There are certain things which the Royal Family should not comment on, and this is one them. It's beyond the boundaries, particularly for a junior member of the royals, and liable to cause offence."
And it seems her comments have also sparked outrage amongst local residents.
One person wrote on Twitter: "Queen's granddaughter Zara Phillips against New Zealand flag change . . . well that's another reason to change (sic)"
Another slammed: "Zara Phillips calling for the flag to stay is the only good reason I've heard to change it. New Zealanders' opinions only, please.(sic)"
New Zealanders currently have until July 16 to suggest a new design for the flag. A panel of 12 will then narrow down a shortlist for the public to vote on.

Prince Philip’s wine bar celebration

Britain's Prince Philip celebrated his 94th birthday in an exclusive wine bar.
The Duke of Edinburgh was joined by a number of his grandchildren for a belated celebration at Berry Brothers and Rudd in Kensington, west London on Thursday (11.06.15), with Prince William and his wife Duchess Catherine enjoying their first night out together since their daughter Princess Charlotte was born six weeks ago.
Also in attendance at the bash were William's brother Prince Harry, Princess Anne's children Peter and Zara Philips and Prince Andrew's daughters Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie.
Eugenie flew in from New York, where she works at an auction house, especially to join her grandfather - whose birthday was last Wednesday (10.06.15) and grandmother Queen Elizabeth for the party, the Daily Mail newspaper reports.
The venue, which is Britain's oldest wine and spirits merchant and dates back to the 17th century, requests a minimum spend of £2,500 in its private dining room, where a four-course menu costs up to £295 per head and bottles of wine sell for up to a staggering £7,000 each.
Though it is unknown what the royals dined on during the celebration, the menu boasts dishes including veal sweetbread, beef cheek, tandoori monkfish and oysters with chorizo jam. .
Despite his advancing years and periods of ill health, royal aides insist Philip has no intention of slowing down.
A source said: "No one would ever dare tell him to take it easy - you might as well take your life in your hands."

Sofia Hellqvist wrote song for Prince Carl Philip

Sofia Hellqvist wrote a song that was performed at her wedding to Sweden's Prince Carl Philip.
The 36-year-old prince married the former reality star in Stockholm on Saturday (13.06.15), and during the reception, the bride - who is now known as Her Royal Highness Princess Sofia, Duchess of Värmland - introduced a performance from singer Molly Sanden, who was accompanied by Danny Saucedo.
She said: "I want to do something in my own words to show my love to you, which I'm going to do through my friends. From me to you."
The lyrics - written by Sofia - included lines which translated as: "Everything I am, everything I have: I'll love you until my final breath and with every beat of my heart."
During his own speech, the prince recalled to guests - which included Britain's Earl and Countess of Wessex, Denmark's Prince Frederick and Crown Princess Mary and Crown Prince Haakon and Princess Mette-Marit of Norway - how he had driven to see Sofia's father, who works in a job centre, to ask permission to propose and thanked her family for their support.
He also hailed the former model as his "role model" and praised the citizens of Sweden for accepting their union.
He said: "We never chose the tough way - it chose us.
"You fill my life with love and happiness. Today we prove that love conquers all.
"Sofia - you've enriched our family. Your family has received me with equally open arms. I've got another family."
"I also want to thank the Swedish people for the support that we've received for our love.
"Proudly I say:[Sofia] you are my role model.... I have a lot left to do in life, a long journey, but I look forward so much to travelling it with you."
Earlier in the day, at their wedding ceremony, Sofia - who wore a dress by Swedish designer Ida Sjöstedt - entered the royal chapel in Stockholm to the sound of Enya's 'Athair ar Neamh', while during the service Sweding versions of Coldplay's 'Fix You' and Rihanna's 'Umbrella' played.
The couple exited the chapel to the sounds of upbeat gospel music.
