Duchess of York ‘dresses as Jessica Rabbit’

Britain's Duchess of York dressed as Jessica Rabbit for her daughter Princess Eugenie's 25th birthday party.
The 55-year-old charity patron reportedly wore the eye-catching outfit - inspired by Jessica Rabbit from the movie 'Who Framed Roger Rabbit' - for the exclusive event near Windsor Castle, which had a cartoon theme and was attended by numerous members of Britain's royal family and other celebrities.
An insider told The Sun newspaper: "Eugenie decided to go all-out. There was a big sit-down dinner followed by a rowdy disco her friends kept calling a Windsor rave.
"Eugenie also hired fairground rides. All had an amazing time."
Eugenie - who turned 25 in March, but was in the US working at an auction house at the time - dressed as Snow White for the occasion and was even accompanied by seven real dwarfs.
Elsewhere, Princess Beatrice, 26, wore a 'Finding Nemo'-inspired dress, while Prince Harry donned an outfit from the Mario Brothers stories.
Other guests rumoured to have attended the party on Saturday night (20.06.15) include British model Cara Delevingne, TV host Melinda Messenger and Cressida Bonas, the ex-girlfriend of Prince Harry.

Charles and Camilla attend Waterloo memorial

Britain's Prince Charles and wife Duchess Camilla attended a memorial service for the Battle of Waterloo yesterday (18.06.15).
The 66-year-old prince and his 67-year-old wife arrived at St Paul's Cathedral in London to the sound of Household Cavalry trumpeters, while soldiers in full military regalia stood to attention next to old military guns outside the building as the guests filed in for the service, which marked 200 years since the battle.
Among those in attendance were Prime Minister David Cameron, Charles' brother Prince Edward, the Duke and Duchess of Gloucester, Mayor of London Boris Johnson and descendents of those who fought in the battle.
During the service, British, French and German readers read out extracts from accounts of the battle.
Lieutenant Achilles Barron of The Rifles read an extract from Major George Simmons of the 95th Rifles, who talked about struggling with heavy rain and "thick clayey mud".
He said: "Bad weather is something any soldier can relate to, I feel sympathetic to the men who were there - before the battle has even begun. It is a massive honour to be chosen to give the reading."
After the service, schoolgirl Lucy King, 13, presented Camilla with a posy of flowers, while 12-year-old Isabella Marter - whose ancestor Major Arthur Rowley Heyland wrote a letter to his wife on the eve of his death in the battle, which she carried every day until she died in 1858 - gave hers to the Duchess of Gloucester.
She said: "It was really exciting giving the flowers to the duchess. I've read the letter, it's really beautiful, you can tell he was a really loving man."

Prince Harry to pursue conservation passion in Africa

Britain's Prince Harry plans to pursue his "passion" for conservation in Africa.
The 30-year-old royal will spend three months in Africa and hopes to use his trip to learn more about conserving animals on the continent, and will be in Namibia for some time to pay special attention to the endangered black rhino, after hearing about the work done by the Save the Rhino Trust and the Nature Conservancy.
A source said: "Harry is very interested in conservation and he wants to learn more about it. It's a passion he shares with his father and his brother and he's so pleased to have the opportunity to see the work of a number of organizations and charities firsthand."
A royal insider added to Vanity Fair magazine: "Harry has chosen much of the itinerary himself. He has been very hands-on, and Namibia is one of the places he will be going over the three months."
Harry is expected to also travel to Botswana, where Tusk, a charity his brother Prince William works closely with, runs a number of research schemes.
He is also planning to shadow a South African vet and work with national park rangers, and is very much looking forward to the trip.
He said recently: "That could be anything to do with tracking poachers, jumping on a vehicle early in the morning, darting elephants, darting lions. It's going to be amazing."

Pippa Middleton for Tommy Hilfiger

Pippa Middleton is set to be the new face of Tommy Hilfiger.
The 64-year-old American designer - who has previously professed his admiration for the style of the party planner's sister, Duchess Catherine - admits the 31-year-old beauty is a "candidate" to work with the brand and they have already met to discuss the possibility.
He said: "I was with [Catherine's] sister Pippa last night in London.
"And she's a candidate for Tommy Hilfiger.
"She's not as under the microscope [as Catherine]."
Before their meeting, Tommy sent some of his clothes to Pippa and is hopeful she will like the pieces.
He added to HELLO! magazine: "I sent the preppy casual summer dresses and things like that. I hope she wears them."
If tennis fan Pippa does agree a deal, she could be working alongside sporting ace Rafael Nadal, who was recently unveiled as a brand ambassador.
Tommy said: "We just signed Rafael Nadal. He just became the headliner for my scent that we are launching this fall."
Pippa would be following in the footsteps of the likes of 'Dawson's Creek' actress Katie Holmes, a former brand ambassador, and Kendall Jenner, who walked in a recent Tommy HIlfiger fashion show.

Queen’s horse injured

Britain's Queen Elizabeth's horse was injured at Royal Ascot yesterday (18.06.15).
The 89-year-old royal looked on in horror as Capel Path took a tumble during the Britannia Stakes and had to be removed from the course in an equine ambulance.
The monarch was later seen looking concerned as she spoke after the race to her horse trainer Sir Michael Stoute, before returning to the Royal Box.
It was speculated the horse had to be put down, but racecourse officials said the three-year-old colt was still alive.
A spokesperson said last night: "The horse is comfortable. He has been taken to a local vet's for assessment and there will be an update in the morning."
Ladies' Day at the annual meeting brought no other success for the queen, as her other runner failed to win.
In the second race of the day, Peacock was beaten into place by Saudi Arabia's Prince Khalid Abdullah's horse Time Test.
The day before, none of the queen's equines could manage a win either.
Among the royals at Ascot yesterday were the queen's husband Prince Philip, their daughter Princess Anne, son Prince Andrew, daughter-in-law Countess Sophie and granddaughters Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie.

Queen Elizabeth’s race disappointment

Britain's Queen Elizabeth's horses failed to win at Royal Ascot yesterday (17.06.15).
The 89-year-old royal attended the second day of the race meeting with a number of family members, including husband Prince Philip, children Princess Anne and Prince Edward, and daughter-in-law Countess Sophie, but didn't have much to celebrate as none of the horses she had running did well
The second race of the day saw Ring of Truth only managing to make seventh place in the Queen Mary Stakes, while Touchline - who bookmakers had predicted was the queen's best chance of success at this week's meeting - could only finish in third place in the Sandringham Stakes.
Elsewhere, bookmakers were left upset by the monarch's decision to wear blue to the meeting as, like the day before's pink outfit, it had been the most-backed colour.
Ladbrokes' spokesperson Jessica Bridge said: "Needless to say bookies all over the country are feeling blue. For the second day in a row favourite backers are quids in and at this rate we're going to have to shut up shop.
"Her Majesty loves a true blue number and those who kept the faith are laughing all the way to the bank."

Prince Charles unveils Waterloo memorial

Britain's Prince Charles has unveiled a memorial to British soldiers who fought and died at the Battle of Waterloo.
The prince and his wife Duchess Camilla visited the Belgian battlefield yesterday (17.06.15), before going to Hougoumont Farm, where he pulled down a Union Jack to reveal Vivienne Mallock's lasting tribute, which depicts two life-size soldiers struggling to close a gate to save the site from being overrun by the French.
Soldiers from the Coldstream Guards shut the gate and the Duke of Wellington later said the outcome of Waterloo "turned on the closing of the gates at Hougoumont".
Yesterday, 10 Guardsmen from No 7 Company Coldstream Guards dressed in 1815 period costume to carry out the official opening of the gates at the farm.
The event - which was held to mark 200 years since the battle - - was also attended by relatives of the three commanders at Waterloo, and the 9th Duke of Wellington, Prince Nikolaus von Blucher of Prussia and Prince Charles Bonaparte also took part in a symbolic three-way handshake of friendship at the event.
During their tour, the royal couple visited La Belle Alliance Farm before walking along a farm track, around the edge of the battlefield, before looking around Hougoumont, which has been the subject of a £3 million restoration plan.
Barry van Danzig, a trustee of the Hougoumont Project which led efforts to restore the farm, said the closure of the gates "ended 800 years of conflict between France and Britain and brought in 100 years of peace."
He added: "The monument to the whole British Army is important - we all hear about Wellington's victory but it was the guys on the ground that did it."
The commemorations will also see battle re-enactment displays take place over the weekend, while Charles and Camilla will also attend a national service at London's St Paul's Cathedral to commemorate the anniversary of the battle today (18.06.15).

Embarrassed tourist barged at Trooping the Colour

A tourist barged out of the way during Trooping the Colour insists it was his own fault.
Gerry Weatherhead, a retired RAF engineer, was watching the parade - which marks the official birthday of Britain's Queen Elizabeth - with his wife outside Buckingham Palace on Saturday (13.06.15) but turned away and didn't notice the soldiers approaching until it was too late.
He said: "As a former military man myself I'm more embarrassed than anything else - but no one was hurt and there was no harm done. It's quite funny really...
"It was my fault for getting in the way. It would have helped if they had shouted sooner, but no harm was done and no one was hurt.
"Like I said, I'm just a bit embarrassed!"
And the semi-professional photographer insists he is "not at all" upset by the incident.
A clip of the scuffle - which has been viewed over a million times - shows Mr. Weatherhead chatting to his wife until he is body-barged by the soldier and the couple are forced to stumble out of the way of the procession, while someone can be heard shouting "Stupid man".
The 58-year-old tourist admitted he hadn't heard the procession approaching because of the noise of the crowds.
He told MailOnline: "I was visiting London with my wife and we thought we we would go and see the Trooping of the Colour, as we'd never seen it before.
"So we took pictures of the Queen at The Mall and then we came back through St James's park.
"To be honest with you I was dying for a pee so I was taking off my camera to hand to my wife, and with all the noise and the chatter I didn't hear them coming - and that's when all hell broke loose.
"Being ex-military myself I'm more embarrassed than anything else.
"There was so much noise I just did not hear.
"When the soldier bumped into me I initially thought a horse had walked into me."
