Prince William meets Eddie Redmayne at polo match

Britain's Prince William reunited with his old Eton school friend Eddie Redmayne on Friday (03.07.15).
The 33-year-old royal and the Oscar-winning actor were both in attendance at the Audi Polo Challenge, where the prince was competing and helping to raise some much-needed funds.
Following the conclusion of the polo match, the prince headed over towards Eddie - who won an Oscar earlier this year for his starring role in 'The Theory of Everything' - and struck up conversation with him and his new wife Hannah Bagshawe.
Both men have, of course, celebrated major milestones in recent months, with Prince William welcoming his second child, Princess Charlotte, in May.
Eddie, meanwhile, has emerged as one of Hollywood's most sought-after young actors following his brilliant portrayal of Professor Stephen Hawking and was recently named in the Queen's Birthday Honours list.
Eddie has previously described Prince William as a "lovely man".
He said: "I'm pretty sure Will was more intimidating than I was.
"I don't think I intimidated anyone in my life. I haven't seen him since school, but he was a lovely man."

Queen Elizabeth crowd-funding appeal receives two donations

A planned concert for Britain's Queen Elizabeth has raised just £15 in donations through a crowd-funding appeal.
On September 9, the Queen will become the longest-reigning British monarch and it had been hoped that the date would be marked by a spectacular concert, with a crowd-funding appeal organised to raise £65,000 to cover costs.
Thus far, however, only two people have made donations, and with the full £65,000 needed by July 22, there appears little prospect of the proposed celebration going ahead at the 02 Arena in London.
Thomas Mace-Archer-Mills, the chairman of the British Monarchist Society, told the Daily Telegraph newspaper: "It is unconscionable that no one person, organisation, or the government has given an thought to properly celebrating the most historic milestone in this nation's history, let alone honouring Her Majesty for the life long service she has given the people of this world. A proper show of appreciation is only appropriate.
"This generation has never witnessed a piece of history like this. The last people to do so were the Victorians and a reign of this length is unlikely to be seen again."
Meanwhile, the Tower of London has been given approval from the Royal Household to post a message on its walls from one minute past midnight on September 10, saying "For Queen and Country".

Prince Charles announced as Patron of WJR

Britain's Prince Charles has become the Patron of World Jewish Relief.
Following 12 years of work with the WJR, the 66-year-old heir to the throne has now become the Patron, in a culmination of all the work he's done for the charity.
A spokesperson for the WJR said: "We are enormously proud to announce that His Royal Highness The Prince of Wales has become the
Patron of World Jewish Relief. The support of His Royal Highness demonstrates the close connection between the Royal Family, World Jewish Relief and the UK Jewish community."
Charles was previously a patron of WJR's project to build a community centre in Krakow, Poland, which he conceived following his visit to the region in 2008, and builds on the prince's personal commitment to a WJR development project in Ukraine, the Wohl Livelihood Development Programme, which has helped train over 2,000 people so they have the skills they need to get back into work and bring their families out of poverty.
The spokesperson added: "His Patronage is for our full range of work, giving a ringing endorsement to our projects combating poverty amongst the world's most vulnerable Jewish communities and reaching beyond the Jewish communities, particularly at times of natural disasters.
"We are incredibly grateful to World Jewish Relief's Life Vice-President, Nigel Layton, who was instrumental in securing the Patronage of The Prince of Wales."

William and Kate upgrading their home tennis court

Britain's Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are upgrading their home tennis court.
The royal couple - who played tennis opposite each other early in their courtship as classmates at the University of St Andrews - plan to upgrade the court at their country home, Anmer Hall to be made of AstroTurf and bordered by copper beach hedge.
According to an application filed by officials at Sandringham Estate, where their home is located, the court will also have new oak trees planted nearby.
The court will also have to be moved to an area of "undeveloped garden", according to People.com, as the existing court - which was to the left of the house - needs to be completely resurfaced, and a landscape designer has advised William and Kate to move it to an area that will provide more space around the court, and in doing so improve the views from the main house.
As keen tennis fans, William and Kate will also be making an appearance at Wimbledon on Wednesday (08.07.15) to watch some of the day's quarter-final matches on Centre Court, Kensington Palace has confirmed.
Last year the royal couple caused a stire when they were seen watching Roger Federer take on Novak Djokovic in the men's singles final.

Flowers at Princess Charlotte’s christening to be donated to EACH

Britain's Duchess of Cambridge is going to donate bouquets from well-wishers at Princess Charlotte's christening to East Anglia's Children's Hospices.
Princess Charlotte - who is two-months-old today (03.07.15) is set to be christened on Sunday (05.07.15) at St Mary Magdalene Church on Queen Elizabeth's Sandringham estate, and Kate and her husband the Duke of Cambridge have invited locals to come to the area outside to show their support. Any flowers left will be gathered up and given to EACH - which Kate is a royal patron of - and re-distributed to the charity's hospices for families and staff to enjoy.
Graham Butland, EACH Chief Executive, said in a statement, according to the Mail Online: "We are very honored the flowers . . . are being donated to EACH. Her Royal Highness has shown great dedication to the role of Royal Patron, raising awareness and understanding of our services and we're incredibly grateful for all the support the charity has received."
The 33-year-old Duchess became royal patron of the small hospice charity when she announced the first set of causes she was officially going to support in January 2012, and the charity has said she has helped raise awareness not just of EACH but of the children's hospice movement as a whole.
