Prince George ‘calls Queen Elizabeth nanny’

Britain's Prince George calls Queen Elizabeth II "nanny".
The royal, who celebrates his second birthday later this month, apparently uses the casual nickname to greet his grandmother.
A 22-second video, captured by the Daily Mirror newspaper, shows the young prince outside the St. Mary Magdalene Church in Sandringham in conversation with Prince William, who tells him: "You coming, they're all coming, we can go back to nanny's."
What's more, it's been reported that the future king refers to Carole Middleton - the mother of the Duchess of Cambridge - as grandma.
Last month, meanwhile, the young prince attended the Trooping the Colour for the first time.
Prince George - who wore a blue shirt featuring white frills and matching shorts for the occasion - waved to the crowds as he joined his parents, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, grandfather Prince Charles, great-grandmother Queen Elizabeth and other family members on the Buckingham Palace balcony for the annual parade, which marks the monarch's official birthday.
He was seen excitedly pointing at the planes as they approached the palace during the flypast, which attracted a sizeable crowd in central London.

Princess Anne to open the Kelpies sculptures

Britain's Princess Anne is set to officially open the Kelpies sculptures.
The 64-year-old royal will lead a flotilla of around 40 boats along the Forth and Clyde canal to the giant horse-heads, which are situated near Falkirk in Scotland.
She will be joined at the ceremony by sculptor Andy Scott, whose dramatic-looking designs have provided an enormous boost to the local economy and have been described as "Scotland's national treasure" by the National Lottery.
Indeed, the Kelpies represent the centrepiece of the £43-million Helix parkland project, which is said to have improved the local economy by as much as £1.5 million per year.
In addition to the pair of sculptures - which are made from 600 tonnes of steel - a visitor centre, costing £1.8 million, is due to open later this year.
Meanwhile, it's been announced that the show-jumping horse of Zara Phillips - Princess Anne's daughter - will not contest this year's Longines FEI European Eventing Championship at Blair Castle in September.
It's been confirmed he is not back to full fitness after suffering a serious injury in April.

Prince George to attend Wetherby Pre-Prep?

Britain's Prince George is expected to attend Wetherby Pre-Prep school in Notting Hill, west London.
The young royal, who will celebrate his second birthday later this month, will follow in the footsteps of his father Prince William and his uncle Prince Harry by attending the prestigious school, where fees cost £6,170-a-term, the Daily Mail newspaper reports.
His sister, Princess Charlotte - who was born in May this year - is expected to attend the similarly well-regarded Pembridge Hall when she's old enough to attend school.
Meanwhile, Prince George was among the guests in attendance at his sister's recent christening at the Church of St Mary Magdalene and it's been reported that the outfit he wore for the occasion has already sold out.
The adorable prince was dressed in a smocked set of red shorts and embroidered shirt made by the British designer Rachel Riley - who is among the favourites of the Duchess of Cambridge - for the occasion.
And the company announced earlier this week that it had rapidly sold out of the outfit in 12 month and 18-month sizes, though it was still available in three and six-month baby sizes.

Prince Charles meets Ant and Dec

Britain's Prince Charles has met TV stars Ant and Dec on his summer visit of Wales.
The 66-year-old royal, who started his tour alongside his wife, the Duchess of Cornwall, yesterday (07.07.15), met the award-winning duo in Bridgend, where they are currently making a documentary film about the work of The Prince's Trust.
Upon seeing the prince, Ant - whose real name is Anthony McPartlin - quipped: "I have to say I didn't expect to be meeting you here."
The trio chatted about a project that seeks to rehabilitate offenders through football, giving them the life skills and motivation to make the transition into the world of work.
Among the people the prince spoke to was Toby Guest, 27, who once faced a five-year sentence for drug offences.
Toby told Wales Online: "I made mistakes in the past but the course helped me to gain a sense in belief that I could restart my life in a positive light.
"Before that I was unmotivated and I'd lost all my confidence.
"The programme and the support I received helped me to see a light at the end of the tunnel."

Prince Charles visits Australian cricket team

Britain's Prince Charles shared some words of advice with the Australian cricket team ahead of the start of the Ashes tomorrow (08.07.15).
The 66-year-old prince - who's also met with members of the England team ahead of the Test Match at Cardiff's Swalec Stadium - chatted with the Australians as they continued their preparations for the much-anticipated cricket series.
Spin bowler Nathan Lyon revealed the prince was particularly intrigued by fast bowler Mitchell Johnson, saying: "It was great for him to come out and meet our guys and pass on a few words. He asked a lot about Mitch Johnson and how fast he is."
During his visit to the stadium, Prince Charles was presented with an Australian Test Match jersey by team manager Gavin Dovey.
Meanwhile, England's own fast bowling hero James Anderson revealed how much he enjoyed meeting the prince ahead of his side's showdown with the Australians.
He said: "He's very much lending us his support and offering encouragement and it was lovely to meet him. He was just asking us about the game and our preparations and wishing us good luck."

Duchess of Cambridge’s bodyguard ‘carries a 9mm Glock pistol’

The Duchess of Cambridge's bodyguard reportedly carries a 9mm Glock pistol and a Taser stun gun at all times.
Emma Probert, 43, a member of Scotland Yard's Protection Squad and a trained mixed martial artist, always carries weapons with her when she's in the company of the royals and is thought to wear a stab-proof vest, too.
The mother-of-one has been in charge of the Duchess' protection since 2010 and is said to have developed a good rapport with her over the years, having been alongside the Duchess at her wedding in 2011 and the christening of Princess Charlotte over the weekend, the Daily Mail newspaper reports.
Prior to that, she was the bodyguard to Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie, with Emma and her then-partner Karen Llewellyn being dubbed 'Cagney and Lacey' by their former charges.
What's more, Emma was among the first on the scene of the Tavistock Square bus bombing in London ten years ago and was hailed by Camden duty inspector David Nasmyth-Miller when he was awarded an MBE in the 2007 New Year Honours List for his handling of the attack.
He said: "I am delighted and humbled to receive this honour and would like to thank those who worked alongside me on the day, especially my sergeants, and in particular Probert."

Queen Elizabeth not moving to New York

Britain's Queen Elizabeth is not moving to New York.
The 89-year-old monarch had been linked with a move to Manhattan, with reports suggesting she'd bought a $7.9 million (£5 million) flat in the Big Apple - but the rumours have transpired to be untrue.
The claims were initially driven by the buyer of the 18th floor apartment being listed as "Her Majesty the Queen in right of New Zealand".
The Real Deal website said: "The unit would serve perfectly as a getaway for the Queen's grandsons, or maybe even as her own getaway. Only, of course, if she decides to resign and hand the rei (g) ns to her son Charles."
However, it's subsequently come to light that the buyer of the property is, in fact, Gerard van Bohemen, New Zealand's Ambassador to the United Nations, the New York Post newspaper reports.
Although the Queen remains the head of state of New Zealand, Mr Bohemen used his formal title as her representative when he signed the deeds on the property.
Last month, meanwhile, it was suggested the Queen may have to be moved out of Buckingham Palace to allow maintenance work to take place.
The royal residence, which has not been decorated since 1952, needs new plumbing and wiring.

Women gives up grand prix ticket to attend christening

An American woman gave up a £770 ticket to the British Grand Prix to attend the christening of Princess Charlotte.
Laurie Spencer, 52, from Florida, had been scheduled to attend the annual motor racing event in the UK - which was won by reigning Formula One World Champion Lewis Hamilton - but instead opted to spend the day at a church in Sandringham.
She told the BBC: "When I found out the christening was happening while we were here I knew I just had to be there, but there was no way my husband was.
"We were having dinner last night and somebody on the next table heard us talking and asked if he could have my ticket instead, so they have gone to the Grand Prix and I have come here."
A sizeable number of well wishers attended the high-profile event, with people bringing flowers asked to give them to representatives of East Anglia's Children's Hospices, where the Duchess of Cambridge is a patron.
Britain's Queen Elizabeth II and the Duke of Edinburgh were among those in attendance at the event, as were Carole and Michael Middleton - the parents of the Duchess of Cambridge.
