Princess Eugenie’s holiday ban

Princess Eugenie has reportedly been banned from taking any more holidays this year.
The 25-year-old daughter of Prince Andrew and his ex-wife Sarah Ferguson has already taken 25 holiday days during her first 10 weeks of work at the Hauser & Wirth gallery in London.
Eugenie is working as an associate art director at the company and they have reportedly warned her that she cannot have any more time off until after Christmas.
A source told the Mail on Sunday: "Because she is a Royal, the company does expect Eugenie to take more time off than most. But it has been made clear to her that the summer is over and it's time to knuckle down.
'She will be working incredibly hard over the coming weeks and she won't be holidaying again until Christmas."
Eugenie was said to be hoping to travel to New York to celebrate her mother's birthday in October but will instead be manning a stall in Regent's Park at the Frieze London art fair.
Her mother and sister Beatrice - who now works in New York - will instead fly to London to see her.
Eugenie's holidays this year include Scotland, mainland Europe and New York.

Prince Charles’ tribute

Britain's Prince Charles has paid tribute to the 2015 Pride of Britain Awards winners.
The Daily Mirror's Pride of Britain Awards celebrate the achievements of remarkable people who make the world a better place and Charles penned a moving article in the publication to celebrate the worthy winners.
He wrote: "I am tremendously proud of this year's Pride of Britain winners and would like to offer my most heartfelt thanks for the noble contributions they have made to the lives of others. Thank you and congratulations."
His youth charity, the Prince's Trust, has a category at the awards and Charles praised this year's recipient, Duane Jackson, who turned his life around after being convicted of carrying drugs in order to pay off his debts.
He wrote: "Over the last 40 years, I have met inspiring young people who have managed to achieve great things, and it makes me enormously proud when these young people go on to help others do the same.
Duane Jackson is one of them, and I am delighted to announce him as this year's Prince's Trust winner.
What is so remarkable about Duane's story is the astonishing journey he has been on in the decade since he first came to my Trust and the inspirational turnaround he has made in his life."

Prince William and Harry’s divided loyalties

Britain's Princes William and Harry cheered on opposing teams at the Rugby World Cup on Saturday (26.09.15).
While Harry showed his support for England in white, William and his wife Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge, wore red for Wales as they all watched the game at Twickenham Stadium in London.
William is the vice patron of the Welsh Rugby Union and Harry is vice patron of England's Rugby Union, as well as the honourary president of the Rugby World Cup 2015.
Wales won the game 28-25, leaving William and Catherine thrilled.
Speaking previously to the Welsh team, William said: "Unfortunately, I will be watching you with my brother, so I will need a Wales win more than ever."
William and Catherine spent the first year of married life together living in Anglesey in Wales where he worked as a search and rescue helicopter pilot.
They moved back to an apartment at Kensington Palace after their son George was born two years ago, and have since welcomed a daughter, Charlotte.
Catherine's appearance at the game was one of her first public outings since Charlotte's birth in May.

Britain’s Duchess of Cambridge visits prison

Britain's Duchess of Cambridge made her first visit to a prison today (25.09.15).
The 33-year-old royal stopped by Send women's prison in Surrey, England to see the work of the Rehabilitation of Addicted Prisoners Trust (RAPt), which aims to help prisoners suffering from addictions.
She said: "I was reminded today how addictions lie at the heart of so many social issues and how substance misuse can play such destructive role in vulnerable people's lives. I saw again today that a failure to intervene early in life to tackle mental health problems and other challenges can have profound consequences for people throughout their lives.
"I am grateful to the women I met for sharing their difficult personal stories with me. It is encouraging to learn how organisations like RAPt are offering specialist support to help people break the cycle of addiction and look forward to a positive and crime free life."
During her visit, Catherine met with Kirsty Lacey, a former prisoner who had taken part in the RAPt programme in 2008.
She said: "If it wasn't for the RAPt programme and the support they have given me since, I would not be living this life I am now - one that is beyond my wildest dreams."

Prince William responds to Watford crash

Britain's Prince William responded to an emergency road collision on Thursday (24.09.15).
The 33-year-old royal was one of the air ambulance responders to arrive at the scene of the crash on Watford Road in St. Albans, Hertfordshire, after an ambulance collided with a car.
William was spotted by bystanders in a yellow helicopter which helped transport a man in his early 50s to the Royal London Hospital in London after suffering serious injuries.
Three other injuries were sustained in the collision, it's believed, including a female with a head injury who was taken to Watford Hospital, reports the Watford Observer.
The future king - father to Prince George, two, and Princess Charlotte, four months - caused a frenzy when a group of school students from West Herts College noticed him in Cassiobury Park.
Lecturer Jirapa Harding said: "The students were very impressed, but weren't allowed any selfies."
It was announced this week that William and younger brother Prince Harry, 31, will appear on a special episode of BBC One's 'DIY SOS'.

Pippa Middleton ‘spotted with ex-boyfriend’

Pippa Middleton was spotted having lunch with her ex-boyfriend this week.
Duchess Catherine's sister - who has been dating stockbroker Nico Jackson for over two years - reportedly enjoyed lunch with banker Alex Loudon in Fulham, north London, on Tuesday (22.09.15), according to the Daily Mail newspaper.
The pair dated for three years before splitting in 2011.
Just days earlier, the stunning 32 year old was seen arm-in-arm with her boyfriend, Nico, 36, and had a grin on her face as they left Violet Hill Studios, which specialises in workshops such as yoga, meditation and healthy cooking.
Meanwhile, Pippa and Catherine's younger brother James Middleton split from his girlfriend of two years, Donna Air, this week.
The 28-year-old businessman left the former TV presenter "heartbroken" and abruptly ended their relationship after dating for two years, because he didn't believe they could "go the distance" together.
A source close to the couple revealed: "The split happened a couple of weeks ago and it was James' decision. Poor Donna. She's more than a little bit heartbroken.
"But he just didn't think it was going to go the distance."

Queen’s whisky fetches £33,000

A bottle of whisky donated by Queen Elizabeth has fetched £33,000 at auction.
Regions Hospital in Minnesota has sold off one of two rare bottles of whisky as part of its annual Wine Auction fundraiser.
The whisky was purchased by an anonymous buyer for $50,000 USD, however, TheDrinksBusiness.com reports that earlier bottles of the Queen's special whisky have sold for as much as $65,000.
The whisky comes from The Queen's Cask, a barrel of alcohol donated to the monarch during a visit to the Bowmore Distillery in Scotland in 1980.
The barrel was bottled in 2002, with three of the rare beverages being donated to charity each year.
Regions Hospital auctioned its first bottle on September 19 and will auction the second bottle on November 20 at Bonham's auction house in New York City.
Proceeds will benefit the Regions Hospital Burn Center, which aids victims of house fires, severe frost bite and oil explosions.
The charity's co-chairperson, Sarah Bazey, suffered severe burns of her own in a helicopter crash in 1994.
Bazey went to university with Simon Berry, the current chairman of Berry Bros. & Rudd, which supplies boozy beverages to the royal family.

Royal pharmacy book on display

The royal family's beauty secrets have been revealed as a prescription book goes on display in London.
Pharmacy John Bell and Croyden, based in west London, is exhibiting the once secret leather-bound book detailing orders from the royals from 1902 to 1905 when King Edward VII ruled as monarch.
Among the medicines and beauty products prescribed to the royals include a jar of cold cream and Coraline toothpaste delivered to Princess Victoria in Buckingham Palace in May 1903, reports the Telegraph.
A month later, Queen Alexandra received "riding pills" while staying at Windsor Castle.
The Duchess of Connaught ordered a bottle of tonic nerve to Clarence House and the Duchess of Fife was sent a sponge and eye lotion.
According to John Bell and Croyden, the prescription book, chronicling royal orders, was kept in a secret part of the store during Queen Victoria's reign.
It is now being displayed to the public for the very first time.
Spokesperson Jamie Russell said: "When an envoy for the Royal family came, the book would be fetched. It is much more grand than the prescription book for ordinary members of the public. The medicine would be personally delivered to the Royal household by a messenger in a horse and carriage."
