Sweden’s Princess Madeleine to baptise baby son next week

Sweden's Princess Madeleine is set to baptise her baby son next week.
The 33-year-old royal and her husband, financier Christopher O'Neill, will christen their second child four-month-old Nicolas at the Drottningholm Palace Chapel in Drottningholm, Sweden on October 11.
It's believed Madeleine's older brother Prince Carl Philip, 36, who got married to his wife Princess Sofia just two days before Nicolas was born in June, has been chosen by the loved-up couple to act as the little one's Godfather.
Nicolas - whose full name is Nicolas Paul Gustaf - will wear the same gown his older sister Princess Leonore used for her baptism last year and the holy water used during the impending ceremony will come from a spring on Öland.
The baptism, which kicks off at noon, will be attended by close friends and family but will also be broadcast on national television across the European country, according to the local Expressen newspaper.
Meanwhile, Madeleine and Christopher recently relocated to the financier's native UK and will raise Nicolas and Leonore, three, in London after they left Stockholm in the summer.
Madeleine - who spent four years living in America and has resided in the UK before - has previously spoken of how much she adores being married to Chris.
She has said: "The sweetest feeling now that we are married is that we really are a team. It really brings a special bond."

Duchess Catherine to attend State dinner for Chinese President

Britain's Duchess of Cambridge is set to attend a State dinner in London for the President of China later this month.
The 33-year-old royal and her husband Prince William will attend the lavish banquet, held by Queen Elizabeth, at Buckingham Palace for the Chinese leader Xi Jinping.
A source told the Daily Mail newspaper: "Catherine will be there. The State visit is a result of the invitation that William made when he visited China earlier this year."
William, 33, is keen to create a strong relationship within China in order to help him demolish trade in illegal wildlife.
Meanwhile, the Duke of Cambridge is set to present the Tusk Conservation Awards on November 24 in London where he'll dish out the winning trophies during a ceremony.
Edward Ndiritu has already been informed he'll be receiving a medal, which has been specially crafted by the jewellers Tiffany, from the Duke for his work as the head of the anti-poaching unit, Lewa Wildlife Conservancy, in Kenya.
William penned Edward a letter to congratulate him on winning the Tusk Wildlife Ranger Award and to thank him for the "extraordinary contribution" he and his incredible team have made to protecting the wildlife in the country.
The other three nominees include; Mary Molokwu-Odozi from Libreria, Emmanuel de Merode from the Democratic Republic of Congo and Cosmas Mumba from Zambia.
Prince William, who is focused on conservation around the world, set up the awards after he and his brother Prince Harry, 31, carried out a tour of Botswana three years before.

Monaco’s Charlotte Casiraghi thinks key to relationships is ‘truth’

Monaco's Charlotte Casiraghi believes the key to a success relationship is a shared "passion for the truth."
The 29-year-old royal has been dating her beau Gad Elmaleh, with whom she has 21-month-old son Raphael, for over three years and is confident they're a strong partnership because they share similar beliefs on life.
The stunner - who is eighth-in-line to the throne - told France's Philosophie magazine: "I believe that the key to a long and happy relationship is when you both share a passion for the truth, for life."
Charlotte - whose grandmother is the late Princess Grace Kelly - met Gad, 44, at a party in 2011 and had sought to keep their relationship as private as possible ever since.
The couple made their first public appearance in 2013 at the Bal de la Rose and are thought to have split their time between living in France and Los Angeles, California.
Meanwhile, Charlotte's comment on relationships comes four months after rumours began to surface she and Gad had ended their romance due to their busy schedules.
A source said at the time: "It's sad. Mostly, this is a couple that drifted apart over their careers. He wasn't around enough - and she wanted a father for her son."

Princess Anne’s ‘wonderfully entertaining’ trip to Jamaica

Britain's Princess Anne was "wonderfully entertained" during her three-day trip to Jamaica last week.
The 65-year-old royal has admitted she enjoyed the "real flavour" of the island as she was greeted by the government and people of the country while carrying out her royal duties.
The Princess - the daughter of Britain's Queen Elizabeth - made the comment at the closing ceremony of the Caribbean-Canada Emerging Leaders' Dialogue (CCELD), held on Friday October 2 at the Jamaica Pegasus in New Kingston, according to the Jamaican Observer newspaper.
Anne kicked off her royal duties on September 30 when she took a tour of the Mico College University, followed by a visit to the Jamaica Defence Force (JDF) headquarters at Up Park Camp, and the RJR Communications Group.
The Princess Royal also visited the Governor General, Sir Patrick Allen, and took part in the Duke of Edinburgh Medal Awards, where she enjoyed traditional folk songs.
Meanwhile, Princess Anne returned to the UK over the weekend after she departed the Norman Manley International Airport shortly after the CCELD event.

Prince Harry’s touching tribute

Britain's Prince Harry helped a former US marine make a poignant tribute to her fallen comrades.
Kirstie Ennis is currently taking part in Walking with the Wounded's 1,000 mile charity trek, where she has been leaving memorial dog tags every 40 miles, and this week Harry helped her when he joined the team for part of the journey.
She told PEOPLE: "Prince Harry actually helped me place my dog tag. He's so understanding and really appreciated what I was doing. He wanted to be involved and pass on a message to the family."
Explaining her mission, in which she has been placing a poem and a note along with the dog tags, the brave former marine explained: "We lost 25 guys either killed in action or they lost their battle to PTSD when they returned home. My way of sharing their memory is by placing these memorial dog tags.
"I'm sharing the legacy, keeping them alive. It means a lot to me that a stranger will be able to find these things and have a peek into the life of what military guys do, and their sacrifices."
Kirstie was left with brain damage, burns, broken bones and a shattered jaw after a 2012 helicopter crash in Afghanistan but is now a snowboarder for the US Paralympic Team.

Queen Elizabeth’s weekly donation

Britain's Queen Elizabeth only carries cash on Sundays.
The 89-year-old monarch never carries money with her except for the five pound note she donates to the church collection basket every week.
A source told Us Weekly: "She donates to the church collection basket. Her butler irons a 5-pound note into a little square by folding it until you can only see her face!"
Although the queen has a sizeable fortune, it was recently revealed that the Beckham family are now wealthier than she is.
David and Victoria, together with their four children Brooklyn, 16, Romeo, 13, ten-year-old Cruz and Harper, four, have become a lucrative brand that has amassed more cash than Her Majesty.
According to academics at the London School of Marketing, the family business - which includes David's company Footworks and Victoria's fashion empire entitled Beckham Ventures - has accrued £470m with the figure rising annually by around £30m to £40m.
What's more, the retired soccer star enjoyed a rise in income when he gave up professional football last year and won a £50million contract to endorse a new whiskey for Diageo.
Meanwhile, in comparison Queen Elizabeth is worth approximately £340million, according to the Sunday Times Rich List 2015.
The main source of the monarch's income is her Sovereign Grant - a 15 per cent payment from the profits made by the Crown Estate that is paid to her annually.
The Crown Estate is an independent commercial property business, with one of the largest property portfolios in the UK, that dates back to 1760 when George III reached an agreement with the government for surplus revenue from the crown's lands to go to the Treasury.
Since then, every succeeding monarch has renewed the arrangement.

Prince Harry teased by brother

Britain's Prince William has been "taking the mickey" out of his brother Harry.
William - who is the vice patron of the Welsh Rugby Union - revealed that he has been ribbing his sibling over Wales' win against England last weekend in the Rugby World Cup as Harry is vice patron of England's Rugby Union, as well as the honourary president of the Rugby World Cup 2015.
19-year-old apprentice coach Kyle Raubenheimer, who met William at the launch of the Welsh Rugby Union's Coach Core programme, revealed: "He said he had been taking the mickey out of Harry and was really pleased about the result."
Meanwhile, Harry visited the English rugby team on Thursday (01.10.15).
The 31-year-old royal stopped by the team's training camp at Bagshot in Surrey for a morale-boosting visit ahead of their next game.
Over the weekend Harry watched England lose to Wales at Twickenham Stadium in London and will be hoping his visit spurs them on to victory in their upcoming match against Australia.
The trip has been described by the prince's spokesman as a "private visit" and England head coach Stuart Lancaster told the Daily Telegraph that Harry did not formally address the team.
Instead he spent time chatting with the players, including centre Sam Burgess, who has lost his place on the team to Jonathan Joseph.

Prince Albert’s climate concerns

Prince Albert of Monaco wants his children to continue his environmental crusade.
The royal and his wife Princess Charlene are passionate about protecting the environment and working to stop climate change and Albert hopes that their almost 10-month-old twins, Jacques and Gabriella, will continue their work when they are older.
He told Paris Match magazine: "They have to be prepared. We will do everything so that our children will be well educated and informed on these issues.
"They will have to act. Therefore, we must prepare them now to address these issues and environmental questions and imagine solutions for themselves.
"Charlene is very concerned about these issues."
Albert revealed he inherited a love of nature from his parents, Princess Grace and Prince Rainier.
He explained: "My mother led us often on walks here, in the back country. My father was more the sea. He helped us discover the marine environment and to respect nature."
Prince Albert will take part in the upcoming United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP21), which starts in Paris on November 30.

All Blacks delayed by Prince William’s motorcade

The New Zealand rugby team's bus was delayed by Prince William's motorcade in Wales on Thursday (01.10.15).
The All Blacks had just finished training in Cardiff and were waiting to get on their bus when the royal's car, flanked by police on motorbikes, passed by en route to the Fiji-Wales match at the Millennium Stadium.
According to the New Zealand Herald, the All Blacks' team bus was ordered from the street so that Prince William's entourage could get through.
However, the players were thrilled with their brush with royalty, filming the incident on their phones and waving at the future British King.
Halfback Aaron Smith said: "He gave us a wave - that's pretty good."
Over the weekend, William and his brother Prince Harry cheered on opposing teams at the Rugby World Cup.
William and his wife Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge, wore red for Wales as they all watched the game at Twickenham Stadium in London.
William is the vice patron of the Welsh Rugby Union and Harry is vice patron of England's Rugby Union, as well as the honourary president of the Rugby World Cup 2015.
Wales won the game 28-25, leaving William and Catherine thrilled.
Speaking previously to the Welsh team, William said: "Unfortunately, I will be watching you with my brother, so I will need a Wales win more than ever."
William and Catherine spent the first year of married life together living in Anglesey in Wales where he worked as a search and rescue helicopter pilot.
