Duke and Duchess of Cambridge condemn ‘heartless’ attacks

Britain's Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have condemned the "heartless" attacks on Paris.
Prince William and his wife Duchess Catherine paid tribute to the victims of the terrorist attacks as they visited the French embassy in Knightsbridge, London yesterday (17.11.15) to sign a book of condolence.
William wrote: "To all those who have died and were injured in the heartless attacks in Paris, and to all the people in France: Nos plus sinceres condolences."
The message translates as "our deep condolences".
The Duke and Duchess both signed their name under the tribute and paused to read some of the other messages.
In addition to signing the book, the couple also spoke to the ambassador Sylvie Bermann about the massacre which saw at least 129 innocent people lose their lives.
The Duchess asked: "Do you know anyone who was affected?"
The ambassador replied that luckily she didn't before talking to them about a number of memorials taking place in his home country.
William - who has two-year-old son Prince George and six-month-old daughter Princess Charlotte with wife Catherine - added that the events have been "truly dreadful" before exiting the room to offer his condolences to embassy staff in the lobby.

Prince William sending ‘powerful message’ to terrorists

Britain's Prince William believes England's football match against France this evening (17.11.15) will send a "powerful message".
The Duke of Cambridge has decided to go ahead with his plan to attend the friendly between the two national teams at London's Wembley Stadium tonight despite the French national stadium, the Stade de France, being one of the targets of the terrorist attacks in Paris last week.
A Kensington Palace spokesman speaking on behalf of the prince told the Evening Standard newspaper: "Tonight's game is a chance to pay tribute to the bravery and resolve of the French people and the French team, who were of course affected directly by Friday's attacks.
"Going ahead with the game is a powerful message of Britain's friendship and partnership with France in the face of people who are intent on dividing societies."
The 33-year-old royal is attending the fixture as the president of the Football Association (FA), who have revealed that only 100 people have asked for refunds since the attacks on Paris that killed 132 people.
An impressive 80,000 supporters are expected to attend and will face enhanced security measures modelled on those used during the 2012 Olympics in London.
These measures include patrols by armed officers and compulsory bag searches.
Prime Minister David Cameron echoed the Prince's words, saying: "The barbaric terrorist attacks in Paris have shocked the world but also united us in our unwavering resolve to defeat this evil. Tonight at Wembley, football fans will join together to show their solidarity for the French people. They will send a clear message -- the terrorists will never win."

Prince Harry asks Harry Styles about his hair

Britain's Prince Harry asked Harry Styles when the last time he cut his hair was.
The 30-year-old royal met the One Direction heartthrob at the filming of the Royal Variety Performance and reportedly quizzed him about his trademark long curly locks.
He said: "When was the last time you had a haircut?"
Harry, 21, has been famous for his hair ever since he first auditioned for 'The X Factor' in 2010 aged just 17.
The 'Perfect' singer has since worn his curls in a number of different styles including top knots and his current shoulder length cut.
According to Us Weekly he replied to Prince Harry saying: "I'm not planning on [cutting] it right now."
Harry is then said to have been asked whether he'd ever thought of growing a beard like the one the flame haired prince has been sporting recently.
He reportedly replied: "No, no. I'm not growing any facial hair."
Meanwhile, the show's host Jack Whitehall is said to have referred to the famously laid back royal as the "King of banter" during the event.
Jack said: "Yes you've served your country with distinction in the British Army.
"But more importantly than any of that... you're the kind of guy on a night out who doesn't see a shopping trolley, but a ride home.
"Yes, ladies and gentleman, he may only be a prince. But when it comes to banter, all hail the King."

Duchess Catherine seeks fashion advice from Cara Delevingne’s mum

Britain's Duchess of Cambridge seeks style advice from Cara Delevingne's mum.
Duchess Catherine - who is also known as Kate Middleton - has reportedly been asking the 23-year-old model's mother Pandora for fashion advice.
A source shared: "Kate really wants to try more daring choices, so naturally turned to Pandora. They've known each other for years and Kate trusts her advice."
The 33-year-old royal - who has two-year-old son Prince George and six-month-old daughter Princess Charlotte with husband Prince William - is said to have asked Pandora for her thoughts on a number of dresses in particular, including the £2,600 floral satin tiered dress she wore for the 100 Women in Hedge Funds dinner at the Victoria and Albert Museum.
The source told Grazia magazine: "Pandora advised Kate on both the Jenny Packham and the Erdem dresses she wore. She adored the Jenny Packham dress, but needed a bit more convincing on the Erdem one as the shape was very unusual, but Pandora encouraged her to go with it."
Pandora - who is also mother to model Poppy Delevingne - is a personal shopper at Selfridges as well as a designer.

Prince William to attend England vs France friendly

Britain's Duke of Cambridge is to attend the England football team's friendly against France tonight (17.11.15).
Prince William has decided to attend the match at London's Wembley Stadium in the wake of the terrorist attacks in Paris last week that saw explosions go off outside the Stade de France during the French team's friendly against Germany, Kensington Palace have confirmed.
The 33-year-old royal - who is president of the English Football Association [FA] - wants to show "solidarity to the people of France", according to ITV News.
There will be heightened security around the stadium in northwest London following the devastating attacks last week.
The Mayor of London, Boris Johnson, will also be in attendance at the match after saying it is "absolutely right" for it to go ahead.
He said: "The horrific atrocities perpetrated in Paris on Friday were an attack on our very way of life, our freedom, our democracy.
"Of course we can never be complacent ... But I can't think of a better riposte to this ideology of hate than to carry on with our lives, our loves and our passions.
"Football is one such passion, and it is absolutely right that tomorrow's match is to go ahead and that England supporters will be able to come together with their French cousins in solidarity and remembrance to enjoy international football at its very best."

Prince Harry to become godfather to twins?

Britain's Prince Harry could be set to become godfather to twins.
The 30-year-old royal's close friend, bloodstock agent Jake Warren and his wife Zoe have just welcomed twins into the world and it's believed he could be asked to be their godfather.
Zoe said: "I gave birth to two girls last week and they're doing really well. We're very happy."
Jake's father is Harry's grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II's racing manager John Warren, who runs Highclere Stud in the shadow if Highclere Castle in Berkshire.
The couple have named their daughters India and Zalie.
Zoe told the Daily Mail newspaper: "There's no particular inspiration behind the names. We just really liked them."
Jake - who attended Ludgrove preparatory school and Eton College with Harry - is the godson of his friend's late mother Princess Diana.
Meanwhile, Harry recently confessed he would love to have children of his own.
He said previously: "There come times when you think now is the time to settle down, or now is not, whatever way it is, but I don't think you can force these things. It will happen when it's going to happen.
"Of course, I would love to have kids right now, but there's a process that one has to go through ... Hopefully I'm doing all right by myself. It would be great to have someone else next to me to share the pressure. But, you know, time will come and whatever happens, happens."

Duke and Duchess of Cambridge to visit India

Britain's Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are to visit India next year.
Prince William and his wife Duchess Catherine - who have children Prince George and Princess Charlotte together - are to embark on a tour of India for the first time next spring, Kensington Palace has confirmed.
It's yet to be confirmed whether the Duke and Duchess - who took two-year-old George with them to New Zealand last year - will be taking him and six-month-old Charlotte on the trip.
It is thought that the couple - who tied the knot in 2011 - will visit some of India's most famous landmarks including the Taj Mahal although full details of the tour are set to be released early next year.
News of the upcoming trip comes as Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi is on an official visit to Britain, which has seen the unveiling of £9 billion worth of commercial deals between the countries.
He has been greeted by David Cameron and had lunch with the Queen at Buckingham Palace.
Mr. Modi is the first Indian leader to visit Britain in almost a decade.

Jack Whitehall: Prince Harry is ‘King of banter’

Jack Whitehall dubbed Britain's Prince Harry the "King of banter" at the Royal Variety Performance.
The 'Fresh Meat' star - who is the youngest ever host of the annual gala - admitted he'd love to see the 30-year-old prince and fifth in line to the throne be in charge of the country for a week.
Speaking about Harry's achievements - which include serving in the army and setting up the Invictus Games for injured servicemen and women - the comedian said: "Yes you've served your country with distinction in the British Army.
"But more importantly than any of that... you're the kind of guy on a night out who doesn't see a shopping trolley, but a ride home.
"Yes, ladies and gentleman, he may only be a prince. But when it comes to banter, all hail the King."
The flame haired royal appeared to enjoy the 27-year-old funnyman's joke and could be seen wagging his finger at him while chuckling.
