Royal trio among Britain’s most popular third wheel couples

Prince William, the Duchess of Cambridge and Prince Harry have been named among Britain’s most popular third wheel trios.
The royal trio has been placed second on a list of the country’s ultimate third wheel couples in a poll conducted by Deliveroo, after research revealed that 54 percent of Brits would be happy to third wheel a couple on Valentine’s Day (14.02.17).
However, they were beaten to top spot by Simon Cowell, Lauren Silverman and Sinitta, who dated the music mogul in the 1980s and has since remained on good terms with him.
Kate Thomas of Deliveroo said: "Valentine’s Day is all about love, so it’s great to see so many people comfortable with being a third wheel with their coupled-up loved ones this Valentine’s."
Other big-name trios to feature on the list include Kim Kardashian, Kanye West and Kris Jenner, as well as Jay-Z, Beyonce and Kanye West.
More surprising, perhaps, is the inclusion of the former ‘Top Gear’ presenting trio Jeremy Clarkson, James May and Richard Hammond, who recently reunited to make ‘The Grand Tour’ for Amazon Video.
Most imaginative of all, though, is the fictional group of Harry Potter, Hermione Granger and Ron Weasley, who were created by best-selling author J. K. Rowling.
Meanwhile, further research revealed that three royal couples also featured among the top ten duos Brits most want to third wheel.
Although the list was topped by David and Victoria Beckham, Prince William and the Duchess came in third, while Prince Philip and the Queen and Prince Harry and Meghan Markle came in fourth and seventh respectively.
Other celebrity couples to feature among the top ten include Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis, and Kanye West and Kim Kardashian West.
Deliveroo have launched a series of third wheel food bundles from over 150 restaurants across the UK with bundle meals available from 9 February.
