Ross Adams regrets avoiding flu jab

Ross Adams regrets not having a flu jab after being laid up in bed for two days.
The ‘Hollyoaks’ actor – who plays Scott Drinkwell on the Channel 4 soap – admits he is "feeling extremely sorry for himself" after being struck down with the lurgy, and wishes he had taken some pre-emptive steps to try to avoid illness.
He wrote on Twitter: "Feeling extremely sorry for myself today laid up in bed with flu. Go get your flu jabs people. (sic)"
Ross admitted he has been "totally floored" by the flu for a second day running.
He tweeted: "I didn’t and this has totally floored me since yesterday (sic)"
Ross’ flu comes just three months after former ‘Hollyoaks’ actor James Sutton – who played John Paul McQueen in the Channel 4 soap on an off from 2006 to 2017 – revealed he had been struck down with viral gastroenteritis for four days.
He wrote on Twitter: "How long does Viral Gastroenteritis last for? Bored now.
"This is day 4. Everything hurts. (sic)"
One follower suggested that if the infection hadn’t disappeared in 48 hours "it means you’re dead".
Former ‘Emmerdale’ star James – who played Ryan Lamb in the ITV soap – then quipped back: "Ah s**t. Wipe my internet history please lad. (sic)"
And his pal Joe Tracini – who portrayed Dennis Savage in ‘Hollyoaks’ – couldn’t resist a light-hearted response.
He wrote: "If it’s anything like going viral on Twitter, roughly 2 to 3 days. If not, please don’t die. (sic)"
