Rosie Huntington-Whiteley feels lucky to have a voice

Rosie Huntington-Whiteley feels lucky to have a voice as a model.
The 30-year-old model is glad the days are gone where models were meant to keep quiet to give off a "mysterious" vibe.
She said: "I love the fact that it’s acceptable now for models to have a voice. When I started, models didn’t give interviews – it was almost considered to be beneath them. It was all about being mysterious, and it wasn’t cool to be a celebrity. Even 10 years ago, it was all about ‘the model off-duty’, the undone, rock’n’roll bohemian look, and now it’s completely the opposite. It’s totally acceptable for things to almost feel overly contrived."
And Rosie – who welcomed her first child, son Jack Oscar, into the world in June – knows there is a "shelf life" to what she does.
She added to The Sunday Times’ Style magazine: "There is a shelf life with what I do – that’s a no-brainer. So that’s what was exciting about creating the brand as something that can hopefully live beyond me being the face of it.
"Having said that, I do think society is changing, and there is acceptance of faces that are more mature. All the supermodels from the 1990s who are now in their forties and fifties are as celebrated as they were back then, if not more. Look at the recent Versace runway [with Cindy Crawford and Naomi Campbell etc.]"
Meanwhile, the blonde beauty previously admitted she is very conscious about her uploads on social media sites because she worries about her young followers feeling "insecure".
She added: "[I worry about] young girls out there who are really feeling insecure about their image and they scroll through and see this image of a supermodel looking amazing, reclining on the beach in a completely unrealistic pose or environment. And I can see how that would make people not feel good about themselves. I mean, I can’t say that I’m immune to that. Sometimes I’m like, ‘F**k!’ You know? That doesn’t make me feel great."
