Rogue One: A Star Wars Story trailer teases origins of the Death Star

The new trailer for ‘Rogue One: A Star Wars Story’ teases the origins of the Death Star.
The preview for the much-anticipated standalone movie in the sci-fi franchise reveals how the Rebel Alliance came into possession of the plans for the moon-sized space station, which was used by The Empire to destroy Princess Leia’s home planet Alderaan in the first film in the franchise, 1977’s ‘Star Wars: Episode IV – A New Hope’.
The trailer shows a group of rebel operatives trying to retain the plans as the Galactic Empire closes in led by Darth Vader.
What’s more, the trailer offers fans their first glimpse of Mads Mikkelsen’s Galen Erso, the father of the main character Jyn Erso, who is played by Felicity Jones.
Galen is critical to the plot line, as he is influential in the destruction of the planet Alderaan.
Meanwhile, Felicity revealed admitted her ‘Rogue One: A Star Wars Story’ fight scenes were "exhausting".
The 32-year-old actress said the action scenes took "a lot of hours of practice".
She explained: "I’m laughing now, but at the time, it was physically exhausting. It took a lot of hours of practice, and I worked with a kung fu coach, and I learned to fight, even though I never thought beating up Stormtroopers was something I’d be doing in my job. It came through hard work and lots of practice and rehearsals."
Felicity also previously admitted she knew her line in the ‘Star Wars’ movie, "may the force be with us", would be "momentous".
She said: "I have to say it was one of those moments that I was really nervous about for weeks before. I kept walking around my house just trying out the line.
"I’d just be in the bathroom and be like, ‘May the force be with you. May the force be with you. May the force be with you.’ You just go over and over and over again because I knew it was such a momentous moment for the film."
