Rocco Ritchie has returned to America.
The 15 year old was spotted having coffee with friends in Manhattan on Tuesday (31.05.16) before heading to his mother Madonna’s home, in his first trip back to the States since he left the singer’s ‘Rebel Heart’ tour and defied a court order to go back to the Big Apple for Christmas.
Madonna and her ex-husband, Rocco’s father Guy Ritchie, were originally expected in court on Wednesday (01.06.16) for a hearing over the youngster’s living arrangements, but the case now appears to be disposed, with a New York State Supreme Court motion pending.
It is unclear whether the ‘Like a Virgin’ singer is in New York with her son – who has been living in the UK with his father and stepmother Jacqui Ainsley since late last year – but she has been taking steps to repaid her fractured relationship with the teenager.
In April, she was seen visiting him in London and had a string of meetings with the ‘Man From U.N.C.L.E.’ filmmaker.
It was previously claimed the 57-year-old singer – who also has children Lourdes, 19, and Mercy and David, both 10, had sought advice from a specialist in teenage psychology in a bid to improve her bond with Rocco.
A source previously said: "She’s been advised not to confront him with all her concerns, but to be relaxed and talk about other, ‘non-provocative’ subjects.
"She has also been told not to confuse her agenda with her ex-husband and his wife Jacqui Ainsley with her relationship with her son.
"She has to accept Rocco adores his father and if she continues slagging Guy off, which she has done so publicly, all she is doing is more and more damage to her bond with Rocco."
