Former ‘Hollyoaks’ star Rob Norbury has joined ‘Emmerdale’.
The ‘Brief Encounters’ actor has landed a role in the ITV soap as dodgy drayman Leon, a romantic interest for Victoria Barton (Isabel Hodgins), six years after he last played Riley Costello in ‘Hollyoaks’.
In scenes to be aired next week, Victoria aims to move on from her marriage to missing Adam Barton (Adam Thomas), but Diane Sugden (Elizabeth Estensen) and Matty Barton (Ash Palmisciano) are anxious about her getting close to beer buyer.
Upon realising she is being watched by the pair, Victoria ramps up her affections for Leon in the Woolpack, and takes him back home.
However, things take a turn for the worst when he tries to take things further and she pushes him away.
Leon then becomes verbally abusive towards Victoria, but thankfully her brother Robert Sugden (Ryan Hawley) shows up and chucks him out.
Rob played Riley in ‘Hollyoaks’ from 2010 until 2012, when he was killed off after being accidentally shot by Simon Walker (Neil Newbon).
Since appearing in ‘Oaks’, he landed the role of PC Martin in ITV drama series ‘Brief Encounters’ in 2016 alongside the likes of Sophie Rundle and Angela Griffin, and he also has his own restaurant, Muse, in Oldham, north west England.
Speaking about the bar and eatery last year, he said: "We’re a little bit quirky which is something I really wanted to build on and it seems it’s something other people love too.
"My family helped me with taking Muse cocktail bar on. It was an existing business. Then the building at the side, which had been a real eyesore, came up for sale. It was a no brainer for me."
