Rob Beckett to host Channel 4’s Anything Goes

Rob Beckett has landed a new gig hosting Channel 4 gameshow ‘Anything Goes’.
The 33-year-old comedian has made a name for himself on shows such as Geri Horner’s BBC One singing contest ‘All Together Now’, which he hosts, plus he provides the hilarious voiceover on E4’s ‘Celebs Go Dating’.
Then there is ‘Rob & Romesh Vs . ..’  on Sky One, which sees Rob and his pal Romesh Ranganathan travel to interview various celebrities and sports idols.
His new show is based on the French series ‘Vendredi Tout Est Permis Avec Arthur’ (‘On Friday, Anything Goes With Arthur’) which has proved popular in 23 different countries and sees six stars compete in a series of challenging games such as balancing on a tilting set
The show is being produced by Expectation, who brought ‘The Big Narstie Show’ and ‘Travels In Trumpland With Ed Balls’ to the small screen.
Rob is shooting a pilot this week in Paris, France, where the original was made, and it’s hoped that it will become a primetime fixture "for all the family" to enjoy.
A source told The Sun newspaper’s Bizarre TV column: "Rob has quickly become comedy’s golden boy and has really clicked with younger viewers, especially on ‘All Together Now’.
"There’s a huge demand for more fun gameshows, so the producers were delighted to get him on board for their next big series, ‘Anything Goes’.
"It’s still early days but Rob starts filming a non-TX pilot of the show this week at the same studios in Paris where the French version is made.
"The comedian has successfully ventured into the world of TV presenting.
"And they’re hoping if all goes to plan it will be made into a full series which all the family can watch together."
