Rita Simons has films in pipeline

Rita Simons has a "couple of films in the pipeline" following her ‘EastEnders’ exit.
The 39-year-old actress dramatically bowed out of the long-running soap as Roxy Mitchell earlier this month after 10 years on screen but it doesn’t look like it’ll be long before she’s nabbed her next job as movie executives from the US have been in touch.
Speaking exclusively to BANG Showbiz, she said: "The long-term plan is definitely TV. There are a couple of films in the pipeline. One is in LA but I say possibly because nothing is in stone. It’s just talks at the moment. Another one is in London but again just talks. I want to do TV, film and drama. But it’s lovely that I can spread my theatre wings. I’m very lucky that I’m able to do both. My love is TV, definitely."
But the blonde beauty has admitted she’ll be very particular about what role she takes on from now on because she wants to make sure it’s completely different from Roxy.
She explained: "As an actor, I want to play different roles. If I ever played a character similar to her in another show, I’d have to change it up completely so that it’s nothing like her. I’m lucky because I can do comedy. I’d love my next role to be comedy."
Rita is the new ambassador for Zeek.me, Europe’s biggest gift card marketplace. Zeek has promised to donate* £1 to Children’s Trust for every voucher bought made from this link http://m.onelink.me/b12c0930 in January.
