Rihanna prefers not to wear a bra

Rihanna prefers not to wear a bra.

The ‘Pour It up’ singer claims she will ditch the undergarment and go bra-free when wearing her clothes, and if she does wear a brassiere she isn’t afraid to wear the lingerie on its own.

Rihanna told the March issue of America’s Vogue magazine:"If I’m wearing a top, I don’t wear a bra. If I’m wearing a bra, I just wear a bra."

The 25-year-old singer also claims she is willing to tolerate pain when if it means she can wear her most fashionable garments, including her four-inch, pointy-heeled Yves Saint-Laurent boots.

Rihanna added:"It’s not about pain. It’s about the commitment. I say to myself, ‘I want to look like this,’ and worry about the pain later. I’ve had nights I had to tiptoe home and the balls of my feet wouldn’t even allow me to stand."

Meanwhile, the Bajan beauty claims she loves boys’ clothes and would often shun girlie dresses in favour of her brothers clothes when growing up.

She recalled: "When I was 13 or 14, I didn’t want to wear what my mother wanted me to wear. I was very much a boy in my style, my demeanour. All my friends were guys. I loved things that boys did.

"It was my way of rebelling. I wanted to dress like my brother. After a while, it was just easier for Mom to dress us both the same."

The interview comes as part of Rihanna’s third cover for US Vogue after fronting both the April 2011 and the November 2012 issues of the fashion bible.
