Rihanna dedicated ‘Diamonds’ to Prince as she performed in Canada on her Anti World Tour.
The 28-year-old singer stopped her concert in Calgary to pay tribute to the late ‘Purple Rain’ hitmaker, who died on Thursday (21.04.16).
She told the crowd: "Today is a very sad day in music. A sad day to music lovers, musicians, fans all over the world who lost one of the greatest legends, Prince. We will miss you.
"A lot of us have started making music and listening to music because of Prince, so right now I just wanna honour him, me and my crew, and you guys. Let’s shine some light to heaven for Prince right now."
Meanwhile, an autopsy on the late star has ruled out suicide but the Examiners Office says it will be some time before a cause of death is known.
A spokesperson said: "As part of the complete exam, relevant information regarding [Prince’s] medical and family history will be gathered. Anything which could be relevant to the investigation will be taken into consideration.
"Midwest Medical Examiners Office will not release information until the exam is complete and all results are obtained. Gathering results will take several days and the results of a full toxicology scan could likely take weeks."
