Ricky Wilson says his flirting on ‘The Voice’ is his "gimmick".
The Kaiser Chiefs frontman is known for his playful behaviour on the BBC One singing contest but he has openly admitted it’s just a strategy to woo the ladies before he attempts to persuade them to join his team for the rest of the competition.
Speaking exclusively to BANG Showbiz, he said: "[flirting] That’s my gimmick. We all have a good time on ‘The Voice’."
However, the 38-year-old hunk thinks the audience have started to pick up on his well-rehearsed technique because he’s been doing it ever since he started on the show in 2014.
He explained: "I am the first person to say it is a gimmick. I was saying to someone the other week and people picked up on it as if it was their story. It’s not it’s my story.
"I know what I am doing everyone knows what I am doing. I’ve been doing it for three years."
Meanwhile, Ricky is set to bow out of the show this year when it makes its shift to ITV for 2017 but he’s adamant it won’t be the last people see of him on television.
He said: "I hope I do more TV stuff. I did ‘The Voice’ and ‘Bring The Noise’ on Sky. I am very humbled by the fact people let me do these things."
