Ricky Rayment has rubbished claims made by Marnie Simpson in her new book.
The 26-year-old reality TV star has hit back at comments made by his ex-girlfriend in her autobiography ‘Stripped Bare’, accusing her of exaggerating the truth in a bid to sell copies of her new book.
He said: "I haven’t read it. We’ve moved on, I’ve moved on. I don’t think anyone is very complementary about their exes.
"She’s selling books, so if it’s nice and happy no one’s going to buy it. I don’t know what’s been written."
Marnie started dating the former ‘The Only Way Is Essex’ star in January 2015 and they got engaged later in the same year.
However, the couple split in 2016 and Ricky has responded to claims that their separation was "amicable".
The reality TV hunk told The Sun newspaper: "I don’t need to comment on nonsense."
Prior to the release of her book, Marnie revealed she was excited to tell the story of her childhood in Newcastle and how she dealt with fame after joining ‘Geordie Shore’ in 2013.
She explained: "I’m so excited to be publishing my autobiography, I never dreamt that one day I’d have my own book.
"In ‘Stripped Bare’ I’ll be telling stories from my childhood, giving all the goss on my TV life and throwing in a few surprises as well. I can’t wait to share this with my fans and to get out on the road to meet them this summer."
