Ricky Gervais doesn’t believe in marriage

Ricky Gervais doesn’t want to get married or have kids.
The 57-year-old actor has been with his partner Jane Fallon, also 57, for 36 years, but he doesn’t feel the need to put a ring on it.
He told Closer magazine: "I don’t think there’s any point to us getting married.
"We don’t want any more toasters and we never want our families to meet – that would be terrible."
As for starting a family, the ‘Night at the Museum’ star feels the world is "overpopulated".
He said: "There are loads of reasons why I don’t have kids.
"The world is overpopulated; no one’s sitting around going, ‘Oh Rick’s not going to have kids, we’re going to run out."
The comedian – who has a cat called Ollie – also admitted he prefers animals to humans.
Speaking of his love for canines, the animal activist – who recently saved a dog from going blind – said: "I love watching dogs eating when they’re slobbering everywhere and making lots of noise wolfing something down.
"When I see a human doing that, I just want to punch them in the face.
"I prefer animals to people – the world is a much nicer place with their little faces.
"I can’t abide to cruelty towards animals in any form. It’s completely wrong.
"We need to be kind to them because they make us better people."
