Richard Blackwood joins First Dates

Richard Blackwood has joined ‘First Dates’.
The ‘EastEnders’ hunk – known for playing bad boy Vincent Hubbard in the long-running soap – has reportedly signed up to the Channel 4 dating show in a bid to find a new love.
The 44-year-old actor will join the likes of former ‘The Only Way Is Essex’ star Jessica Wright, ‘Gogglebox’s Scarlett Moffatt and TV veteran Esther Rantzen when it returns later this year for another installment of steamy match-making.
The show’s executive producer, Nicola Lloyd, said: "We’re hugely excited about the new series of ‘First Dates’. It never seems to matter who walks through the doors of the ‘First Dates’ restaurant, regardless of status we’re all vulnerable human beings and our celebrity series confirms this."
Paralympian Will Bayley has also joined the series for the four special celebrity editions of the show along with 20 hour-long episodes of the non-celebrity format.
Nicola added: "We’re proud to be able to maintain the emotional integrity of the series through these four unique celebrity episodes. Be prepared for some romantic matches alongside a few awkward encounters."
The bar staff – consisting of Fred, Sam, CiCi, Merlin and Laura – will open the doors to the celebrities as they meet their matches who have been chosen by 110,000 people.
